  • The Berlin Wall was built in 1961 to stop an exodus from the eastern, communist part of divided Germany to the more prosperous west. Here, Berliners remember the night in November 1989 when the barrier between two ideologies was finally breached

My mom told my sister and I how so many drove and loaded friends who couldn't drive into their vehicles to drive to the remnants as fast as they could as soon as they found out to celebrateand cry together and she still can't get through it without crying herself when she talks about it to this day. I get tears in my eyes myself every time.

Erich Hoenecker must have dreaded this moment. The wall was another example of man's inhumanity to man. Glad it fell!

Actually, the Wall came down at a boring government meeting, where an East German went over some paper work during a borning meeting about the rules of East/West German travel. At that time, it really was a reporter who asked when does the free travel between both side commence. To which the East German just said "immediately," and the reporter confirmed it. That was the beginning of the end. 2:29

These are moments in history that must never be forgotten and if your schools arent teaching your kids valuable lessons its your duty and obligation as a parent to do so. If your children are being neglected mentally abused its your duty to defrnd and protect your children.

Even though I spent 21 years of my growing up life in the Cold War, I think I was a little bit preoccupied when the Soviet Union fell because I was sitting on the beach in California when somebody told me and I said "Huh... Cool.... Whoa! Look at that chick." And just kind of went on with the rest of the day. It didn't hit me for years that's something huge had actually happened.

I remember watching people tearing at that wall with their bare hands, and just crying for days. I think I was about 12, so of course I didn't fully understand the impact of all of the things leading up to this, or how it actually happened, politically speaking. I just remember seeing the faces, and the people hugging each other, and I still cry every time I think about it. I wish there was a way to impress upon younger generations how big a deal this was, and how it still affects the way their world is today.

Sadly it’s not going to happen, East and West Germany was a artificial division brought upon a nation by a brutal dictatorship occupying half of the nation.
India and Pakistan are by their nature two distinct nations with different religions, cultures, demographics, ideologies, beliefs, values, ethnicities, and claims to one another’s territory
      They are fundamentally different nations.

Why México? I'm from México and my country is not divided. The USA wall is right. Everyone is in their country as it should be. I don't like Americans, but they are right. Illegal immigrants shouldn't be allowed. If someone wants to live in another country, it has to be in the right way, LEGAL. I don't like illegal immigrants in my country neither...
