    I want to get the wave2 if i don't get a hybrid sienna due to the price. I was thinking of installing a maxi fan on top so can't you just use both the inlet/outlet of the wave2 through that fan opening on top for stealth instead of through your passenger window? When are you going to do the wave2 review?

    • @AdventureGearTV
      @AdventureGearTV  Год назад +2

      If I had a sunroof, I would vent through that. I think a maxi fan could work perfectly. I didn’t use an intake hose, but I know it could be more efficient with one pulling ambient air. In a perfect world, I would get a Sienna Hybrid as well. With a sunroof. But, I wouldn’t need any HVAC with that setup.

    1st time viewer, 4 year van dweller. Came here for the Wave2 review and you did not disappoint!! I currently have a Hisense portable electric air conditioner that takes up more room than the Wave2, but I hope to replace it ASAP. I already have an Ecoflow Delta Max to run the Wave2, and just ordered a 12v cable to run it while I'm driving (vehicle a/c is DOA and way too much to fix) so I'll have a dual purpose cooler for both being parked and driving. I have 2 cats with me, and my primary concern is how to keep them safe in hot weather, if I don't have access to shore power (say, at the grocery store, gas station, etc on hot days). I absolutely loved what you did with venting out the window!! My hose for the Hisense has a hard plastic fitting on both ends, so I put one end out the window as you did, roll up the glass to hold it in place, and then I got a large scrap of foam rubber from an upholstery shop and it fills the rest of the gap, which is about 4-5". I call it my redneck a/c. Hoping the Wave2 will make a better statement 😅 I'm really excited by the fact you can use it for heating as well. That would eliminate yet another small appliance currently on board. Could I suggest a small edit-- at the 10 min mark in the description it says something like Wave 2 NOT...I forget the rest, but you were actually talking about the instapot at that point and not the Wave2. I was so relieved to discover that! Looking forward to checking out more of your content. Keep it real!! 👍👍

    I would add a little bit of broth or liquid. I cook short ribs in mine alot and add liquid. I cook them for like 25 min in broth or water then brown and baste with bbq sauce in a oven. But adding liquid will always soften them up same as a crockpot. So remember it’s not how long, It’s how much liquid.

  • @williamdthomas9968
    @williamdthomas9968 Год назад

    After watching this video, there are a few points about Wave2 that caught my attention: The accompanying battery cannot be charged separately; it must be connected to the air conditioner to charge. This is particularly troublesome and unreasonable. When I deplete the battery of the air conditioner outdoors and want to charge it, I have to carry the entire air conditioning unit with me. Keep in mind that this adds up to a weight of 50 pounds. Wow, 50 pounds! What does that have to do with portability? For me, portability is a crucial factor to consider, and I might choose Zero Breeze instead. Their product weighs less than 30 pounds, which is half the weight of Wave2, and can be easily lifted with one hand.

    • @AdventureGearTV

      I’ve tested the Zero Breeze and was not a big fan of it. It just never caught up with the heat.

    I built a panel out of corrugated plastic and installed 2 dryer vents and they fit the hoses perfectly. the panel slides into the window channel and then i have a additional strip about 2 inches that makes an over hang between the bottom of the panel and the window once it is rolled up to hold the panel in. Works like a charm. the dryer vent for the exhaust side has a flapper i left in it, on the intake side i removed the flapper and installed some filter media.
