- Unboxing the Zenit/Tair 300mm photosniper. A classic vintage Soviet kit that includes a Tair(Таира) Phs 300mm lens, Zenit 12XP(Зенит-12) camera, pistol grip and to my surprise also a 'zebra' Helios(Ге́лиос) 44-2 lens! A real collecters item that I really recommend to get your hands on. In this video I 'unbox' it for the first time after having picked it up on the same day.

You probably already know, but the lens shouldn't be loose in the case. You should put the camera on the lens and stick it in its place right under the case handle (at the bottom in this video), then screw it down with the knob that's under the leather handle. The camera will then safely rest against the leather pads in the bottom and lid of the case.

Awesome video ohjajohh, I'm quite envious that you have the complete kit!!! I'm with you all the way - there's no way I'd take the entire Photosniper out in public, which is a shame in a way, because the design would make it far more stable for hand held, but I'm too self conscious for that. I could sit and watch that footage from the dockland area all day long - the Tair 3 works really well down there. Looking forward to the next video using this lens, it's a real cracker.
Cheers, it's a really nice lens to bring to the docks indeed. When I get home I see things that I couldn't see with the naked eye, so it's always a nice surprise.

@@clashofclans4264 I never tried a Sony A6000, but I think all Sony camera's are very good. You only need to buy a "m42 - Nex" adapter then. The adapters are cheap, less than $10
@@ohjajohh oh thanku & it's easy to focus in moving video or u have to just record a still video??
@@clashofclans4264 Focusing for video is difficult in handheld mode. But with a good tripod it's easy
