Really love your videos. Been following you for quite a few months now. You get right to the point and you explain everything in plain English. that is so easy to understand. A lot of the other brokers just drag their explanations on and stretch their videos out. I have gotten more info from you then all other brokers combined, Plus you have answered a lot of questions for me that I ask in the comments. Please keep up the good work.
Thanks for a great informative vlog again. Many years ago when I was a Home Health RN,I would go to a patients home to admit them for Homecare,,do all the paperwork etc.Quite a few times they would refuse care after I said the explained homebound status. They usually would want to carry on going out for weekly dinners and cocktails! Never blamed them…
Matthew, good to see you back in the saddle so to speak. I just turned 64 so this is my countdown year. There's alot to talk about so I will be calling your office around the first week of August. Thanks again, and I look forward to future videos.
I'm almost a year into my Medicare life- signed up with your company- great experience and so helpful! After signed up, had questions along the way. I emailed the individual assigned to me numerous times with no response; I called and my complaint was forwarded to the appropriate person and the Broker did call me; unfortunately I missed her call, I called back but no response again. I guess I had a 1 shot chance of her calling me- get no 2nd call. I feel like the objective was to get me signed up, "getting my quota, thats what important." Otherwise I love your videos and the expert knowledge you provide. Thank you!
Our growth has left us severely shorthanded. I apologize. I just hired two new admin people and am spending the next few weeks training new agents that will literally double my staff. Rapid growth is a good news / bad news situation. *What we are telling clients is to please schedule a call.* If you schedule a call, your agent will have that specific time blocked off for you. Telephone tag is no fun. Because I do not know who you are or who is helping you, I cannot send you a link from here. But when you call in, if your agent is not available (they are on the phone all day) just ask for a link to schedule a meeting. Then you choose the day and time for the phone call.
I've been subscribing to your videos for months but lately I haven't been receiving notifications..I tried again to subscribe and get notifications.. fingers crossed
As always, good info. thanks. Have you done any writing or videos on the pros and cons of long-term care insurance? It seems very expensive, yet covers very little, with strict limits. It seems better to just save up.
I have Long Term Care Insurance and also wonder if I should keep it or not. Expensive, yes. Not sure what the limits really are. I very much would welcome a guiding video from Matt on the topic.
@@MedigapSeminars wow.. so what would an elderly person that has no money afford home care for like dressing and walking to the bathroom? Are you saying they are on their own?
Memory care is a form of residential long-term care that provides intensive, specialized care for people with memory issues such as dementia and Alzheimer's disease. Nowhere either in a medigap plan or an advantage plan is this covered. Maybe selected portions are covered, but the bulk of the cost, currently $3000 to $7000 a month, are the responsibility of the person or financial responsible party. And this care can go on for years. @@MedigapSeminars

I have been toying with the idea of cancelling my Supplement Plan N and stay with just traditional Medicare. Is it really worth to have a supplement plan? Does traditional Medicare provide the coverage we need? As an example, with respect to hospital days, the tendency nowadays is 2-3 days release and Medicare covers them 100%. Matt, could you enlighten us on this matter? ... Thanks
?? Medicare Part A has a $1,632 per event deductible. Medicare does not cover hospital stays 100%. Long-term stays can be cost prohibitive for most. medigapseminars.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/2024-Part-APart-B-IRMAA.pdf Original Medicare has no maximum out of pocket. With a Plan N you have 100% inpatient coverage up to 365-days. Your annual max out of pocket will be the Part B deductible plus $20 copays. That is worth every penny of your very low premium. I have seen people destroy their entire retirement with the one medical event they though they would never have. It completely ruined them.
Matthew is THE guy to listen to when you're learning all about Medicare!
THANK YOU
It makes me smile when I see your new RUclips video drop. Thanks, MedigapSeminars!
So nice of you

It's tough to admit that you're not capable of getting out of the house...especially if you're afraid it may not be temporary.

Thank you Mike. If you have questions, feel free to schedule a meeting with my team any time. It doesn't have to be right before you enroll.
Will do :)
Please let me know if I can figure out a way to get at least some of my caregiver support covered by insurance.

There is a bell icon you need to press and make sure you have selected "all". That tells RUclips you want to be notified.

Are there any benefits that could cover long term home care for an elderly person?
Not that I know of

My understanding is Medicare does not cover memory care.
