Yeah Glenn and the guys are really humble...Something Wicked is a killer underrated record. Dave Dipietro's solos are some of the best...\m/ though I never understood why Anthony left the band its never talked about either, I love all his work with Nuclear Assault. Seriously brutal albums..he says they're not into death metal but I always found them to be borderline death metal, as a really extreme thrash metal band I think that is more exciting than death metal itself in a lot of ways. I believe they were mostly Danny's influence, judging from this interview...lol I didn't know Glenn was getting tired of thrash and extreme hardcore grind, maybe it was a conscious decision to change and evolve...cause he is one of the most extreme drummers I've ever heard, right up there with Pete Sandoval for me. Even if it were true Glenn wasn't really into the grind stuff, as you can see it certainly made for great chemistry with the more traditional heavy metal. And John is just insane on vocals. NA are easily one of my all time faves \m/
Hung with nuclear assault up in Buena Park CA 1987 as they stayed up at the house of the guitarist of phantasm! Thanks to Katon pena 💯 Dan liker is the best 💯. Even paid for my food up at the mall. Still have a picture of me with Dan liker and Anthony. They all were cool. But Glen didn't run around with us..... I noticed Glen would be on the street pay phone! We all went to the beach all night, it was beyond wild. Damn I wish it was the 80's again. 💯🤘
Never got the recognition they deserved. Favorite band ever.
Glenn Evans is such a cool guy, he sent me a pair of his drumsticks in the post! Legend 🤘🤘
