Why do people always misrepresent knowledge? Hair is not alive; in fact, it’s the very opposite. upon fact,-checking the question of “is hair alive”?: No, hair is not alive in the same sense that a person or organism is alive. While hair is a biological structure that grows from living cells, it does not possess the characteristics of living tissue. Here's why: 1. *Lack of cells*: Hair is made up of dead keratin cells that are compacted together. 2. *No metabolism*: Hair does not carry out metabolic processes like energy production or nutrient uptake. 3. *No growth*: While hair appears to grow, it's actually the result of new cells being produced in the hair follicle, pushing older cells outward. 4. *No response to stimuli*: Hair does not respond to environmental changes or stimuli like living tissues do. 5. *No reproduction*: Hair cannot reproduce itself or produce offspring. Hair is often referred to as "dead" because it's made up of non-living cells that are produced by living cells in the hair follicle. However, the hair follicle itself is alive and contains living cells that support hair growth. #pleasestopniggaknowledge
