    Right. My sons both have beautiful locs and I don’t want to hear no one saying to cut their hair based off this idea that makes us look presentable or accepted. I have black kings and I teach them to love all of themselves. You get what you get 1000%. We’re beautiful and my children will tell you that. My dad has said the same thing and I had to tell you’re not going to impose your ignorance on my children. No one will!

    Their not Dreads they are locks. European men who had no regard for humanity call them Dread Locks. Nothing dreadful a

    • @TheLoveweaver
      @TheLoveweaver Месяц назад +2

      Yes, but they named them dreads as in dreadful. They are lots as in the hair had locked itself around each other. Although the Europeans had them too, they no longer claim that history, so they can turn it into something to disparage & put others down for.

    I used to be brainwashed by family, friends, society etc. to think there was something wrong with my own hair growing out of my own scalp and use to use cancer causing relaxers, wigs and weaves to cover it up. I got older and wiser and said screw all that BS and now I have locs and will also teach my daughter early on to love her own hair as it is !!!!🥰

    The hair under your scalp is alive. Hair above the surface of the skin is dead. You would scream and hair would bleed during a haircut if hair was alive. Colored hair is technically no longer natural due to the change in molecular structure after the chemical process. Trimming your ends keeps the oldest dead hair from ruining the newest dead hair. Keep your scalp healthy so it will thrive. IYKYK Sister Iyanla. ❤

Your anatomy and physiology is top tier. But the hair is oftentimes spiritual to many. Let's not minimize that amongst our ppl. For the young person reading this. You can enjoy your locs, as I do now, thriving in a corporate environment. But when you go to school or step into these corporate environments you better come correct. Be twice as good, show up early, stay late and outwork the competition.

    Why do people always misrepresent knowledge? Hair is not alive; in fact, it’s the very opposite.
    upon fact,-checking the question of “is hair alive”?:
    No, hair is not alive in the same sense that a person or organism is alive. While hair is a biological structure that grows from living cells, it does not possess the characteristics of living tissue.
    Here's why:
    1. *Lack of cells*: Hair is made up of dead keratin cells that are compacted together.
    2. *No metabolism*: Hair does not carry out metabolic processes like energy production or nutrient uptake.
    3. *No growth*: While hair appears to grow, it's actually the result of new cells being produced in the hair follicle, pushing older cells outward.
    4. *No response to stimuli*: Hair does not respond to environmental changes or stimuli like living tissues do.
    5. *No reproduction*: Hair cannot reproduce itself or produce offspring.
    Hair is often referred to as "dead" because it's made up of non-living cells that are produced by living cells in the hair follicle. However, the hair follicle itself is alive and contains living cells that support hair growth. #pleasestopniggaknowledge
