- Took the M60B out to the farm a second time to do some pest control work. It did okay considering the strong wind again.
I redid my range tape after finding the velocity has increased from 895fps to 930fps due to the warmer temperature. I used the Element Ballistic App and marked out the POA for each distance.
I made a few shots and I missed quite a few as well due to the incorrect windage compensation. My M60B definitely has a hard time tracking target in the longer range when the wind is strong. Unlike my Impact MK2 where I was shooting heavier grain slugs that has a better BC and bucks the wind better.
Lighter grain slugs definitely has a disadvantage vs heavier grain slugs. My Impact MK2 shoots the 25gr slug much better in the wind than the M60B shooting the NSA 17.5gr slugs. The lighter slugs get pushed much more easily and I was having some difficulty to guess how much windage was needed for these long shots. But the M60B was shooting just fine and it was able to reach out passed 100 yards and tagging a starling square in the chest when the wind was not too strong.
I guess the M60B will be competing with my Impact MK2 in the starling shooting duties.
