Hello I'm Rebecca! I'm 50, a mom, wife and makeup addict. I love deals and good investments. I’m ridiculous and silly most of the time! It’s makeup people. Let’s not take it too seriously! Hope you enjoy my humor and my ‘keeping it real’ attitude. I like bread and anything with carbs.
Thanks for joining me in all this crazy fun!
Personally, I like knowing where you purchase your products, it makes searching easier.
Thank you for sharing that the original Power Grip primer is mentholated. I've never seen that mentioned by anyone in reviews, and I share the sentiment of not wanting that on my face. It can't do any good for the face. I'll get the pink one when it comes to picking a next primer.
beautiful - love the color of the lipstick
Elf rocks! I'm loving the sunscreen and the lipsticks. I haven't come across the correctors yet but I may have to track them down. That is Rebecca!! 💕
Elf are totally killing it lately. I love the halo glow. I have the wet 'n' wild photofocus (not the dewy one) foundation and really didn't like how matte it is and the colour wasn't quite right. Then I got the halo glow and I LOVE it. The shade is now perfect and the glow is gorgeous. Rebecca I think your lighting might be too bright. It was very hard to see the effect of most of the face makeup. I could see the eyeshadow but aside from that, all I see is glow.
Yes, I agree, elf is killing it lately! 🤩 And it is helpful to know where you purchased something. 😊For all the elf products that Ulta sells both in store and online, they don't sell elf's new Lash & Roll mascara which I found surprising. I did find it at a Target store across town. I too have a couple of peach color correctors. They also work really well to camouflage sun spots.
Certain Target stores do really well getting the new stuff in. And some Ultas are better than others.
@@FrugieBlog My Target put in one of those Ulta Squares so a lot of products they used to carry got squeezed out. 😟 The dumb thing is there's an Ulta store less than 1 mile away. 🙄
Yes! I like to know where to buy products because I don't like paying shipping/handling from a website!
I’m so excited to try that sunscreen (weird thing to be excited about lol). I JUST got the Halo glow and love it. I mix Drmatology tinted with Paula’s Choice glow sunscreen - it’s such a good glowy mineral sunscreen nobody talks about. Gripping primers always pill on me.
I really want to try the new sunscreen but it’s not available in Canada-yet 🤞🙏
And I’m definitely gonna get some lipsticks- they look gorgeous!
Have a beautiful week🥰
Xo 🇨🇦
Oh my gosh I was just mentioning that I cannot find a color corrector that works with my under eyes without settling so badly.
I think that might be a winner!
@@FrugieBlog I ordered it online!
I want to try the sunscreen but I’m afraid it will burn my eyes. If I can’t put it around my eyes then I don’t like it. The thin skin around your eyes needs protection too! Anyone have any problems with burning eyes?
Oh yes! I know what you mean. This didn't burn my eyes, but i can't speak for everyone. There's solid mineral spf sticks that work so well on the lid area, have you tried those? They seem to do a good job of not traveling into the eyes.
@@FrugieBlog no, I haven’t tried those! Thanks so much for that info!
I use a foundation with mineral spf on my lids and a spf chemical primer underneath my eyes that doesn't travel, like the Milani SPF BFF.
$9.00 for a drug store lipstick is a bit much.
well, and for ELF, really high. L'oreal and others have charged around $10 but I'm hoping it plateaus for awhile.
Wait. What? The worst carcinogen is the sun's uv rays? Is that your humor or do you believe that?
The sun is a human carcinogen.
Dr Drey and Lab Muffin Beauty were explaining that the sun's UV rays are carcinogenic- this is why we get skin cancer. But exposure and dose are what make something good vs bad. Obviously we love and need the sun- it's just how much and for how long that can make something go from helpful to harmful.
Sun exposure helps our skin produce vit D, which is anti-carcinogenic. That said...uv rays DO cause wrinkles, so hats and sunscreens are a good idea to protect your face. For me, everything from the neck down gets all the sun I can get on it. What you do NOT want to do is burn. That oxidative damage is what sets you up for skin cancer.
@@FrugieBlog Ok. You said the sun's uv rays were the worst carcinogens. I'm certain cigarettes are much higher in cancer causing carcinogens, as well as some grilled meats, than the sun's rays are, just to name a cpl. There are millions of people on this planet that work and live outdoors that don't use sunscreen and they're not dying because of skin cancer. They may not look like spring chickens but skin cancer isn't a top concern. Yes, overexposure can be damaging, more so to some than to others. The sun gives life and is much more beneficial to us than it is harmful.
