You should use the arm for flicks and the wrist for micro-adjustments. It shouldn't hurt at all, try holding the mouse softer or changing your grip slightly
As a player who used both for years. Low sens is precise but hard to warm up with, also the pain. Whereas, high sens gives you freedom of angles and fast reaction time but yeah it causes inaccuracy and less hs %
This is coming from someone that been using that 1600dpi and 0.2 sens for like 2 years now and was using 1600dpi and 0.4 sens for a time being as well You can be precise with both low sens and high sens only difference is amount of time you put in for aim training and all that Cause after I was quite consistent with my aim labs where I did it before every game I was quite good with sheriff in fact it was one of my best guns. sure low sens is good for being more precise but everyone has their own unique sens that is meant for them and I mean i play against ascendants and immo so its not like im playing against bots and whenever ppl ask what my sens and dpi is I tell them but I also tell them that they shouldn't use my sens since this is my sens i played countless hours in and aim trained with
i use low sens for many years on cs, i just play val like a month ago (peaked D1 rn) i changed to high sens, idk its just perform better on me, but i dont reccomend it for a newbie whos just getting into pc games bcs they dont have good mouse control
My old sens used to be 0.7 on 800 dpi, i was kind of new to valorant at that time so I didn't really know if sensitvity mattered that much, I just used it cause i was comfortable for it. Well, with that sensi I was hardstuck on bronze for a whole YEAR. After that when the next act started I changed my sensi to 0.2 on 400 dpi. It felt really slow and scuffed at first but I got used to it quick and it helped me rank up from bronze to gold 2 in two acts. In my opinion low sensitivity really helps new players to get better even if there will be pain at first.
As a duelist/jett main my main problem with low sens is when entering and dashing into site I can't barely flick to check corners and when the round gets chaotic its a pain (1600dpi and 0.08sens)
okay so here's how I think it should be low sens= speed mousepad high sens= control mouse pad small mouse pad = high sens larger mouse pad = low sens if you feel lost as to where you should be (ex: barely starting the game and don't know what sens to start with) u can use the PSA Method Calculator, there's a few websites for it. For 800 dpi from what I remember it was .35 for base sens and for 1600 it's .175 and u get the point. Any1 got questions feel free to ask fr.
No you wrong, generally it’s preferable to play with speed mousepad on high sens cause you need low static friction for your micro ajustements and for low sens you need some help to stop when you flick a high distance so control pad are better for that. So if you want to be versatile on all fps game the best would be to have a mid sens with balanced mousepad like Artisan zero soft or GSR SE for exemple
guys everyone is overthinking this. i quit this game in e5a3 at silver 1 but by the end of e9a3 when i came back i got to dia 1. i used higher sens (0.35) and lower sens (0.21) but my stats were basically even. Im more of a lower sens guy so i stuck with 0.27 and i have no pains and not much struggle. just choose one that fits your playstyle
for over a year when I first started by dpi was 3000 at 0.9 and I did not feel it was too fast coming from league of legends. However after throttling it down by a factor of like 10 I cant over emphasize how much it has helped. Still so funny to me that my sensitivity was like 15 times higher than it should have been
Play more deathmatch to train your mechanics and force yourself to stop shooting at bodies and take use to it ( playing some deathmatch can really help to master crosshair placements and spray control with all weapons too but just few games in a days is enough )
im at 800dpi + 0.195, i reach immortal from bronze in 1 month after 6 months quarantine, and it was easy to tap enemy's head, but it tooks so much energy and it was painful to checking left and right ( corners when entry )
I have been using 400dpi and 0.5 sens for a long time and its almost similar like 800dpi with 0.2 or 0.3 sens. I personally prefer low sens over higher because I like hitting precise headshots and it feels easier for me to kill enemies(maybe just because I got used to this sens) whenever I feel like I have to clear an angle then simply increase my dpi to 600 and switch back to my original one when its done. I have built a habit of this so I'm used to it.
havent played val in a year and I was a high sense player in any game I've played its made for sum crazy plays and flicks able to move at god speed being able to cover all angles is a comfort I need in any game yeah it takes a while to get used to and become consistent in but once you do you can compete with immortals or ex radiants I love high sense low sense feels like im playing a horror game😂
Sens is a completely personal thing. Your sens needs to be something that you're comfortable with. It needs to be like a glove in your hand, you need to know where your aim will be when you move certain amount with your mouse. If your arm or your hand feel pain when playing, something is off.
I pretty much have always played on high sens, I tried low sens, adapted a bit, but it felt just way too hard to track people and tracking is my strenght, how long does it take for you to adapt to on a new sens
i feel like it depends on ur mousepad, if u have a big mousepad then use a slower sens, if u have a small one (like me) use a fast sens, my mousepad is just 30x30 and i use 0.758 800 dpi
i used to play at 0.3 sens 800dpi on a heavy mouse, now im playing with a lighter mouse at 0.4 sens 1200dpi (id say high sens is better than low sens since its easier to turn but its a lil difficult to adjust but will eventually get used to it)
@LundTaken oh I thought u r indian or Pakistani& I'm still finding my perfect sens das y I asked tho. I use 1 for 400 dpi too sometimes so I'm confused
I don’t like to move my mouse much, so I always use 2000DPI and 0.4 in every game and it work really well for me. Also my mouse have something called “polling rate” I set that to 1000 hz aswell
I have a small desk space so I can't do a full 360 with low sens in 1 swipe. Thats why my sens is 1 lol. Is it too high? Although i cannot get past gold rank.
Can someone help me I have a habit of not focusing on the target when I see the enemy even if I shoot the enemy from behind does anyone have a practice to improve this thanks
I Also play on 0.4 800 dpi and im plat 1, i think its good for flicking onto peoples heads. Oh and is having a 41% headshot persentage good for plat 1?
I'm using 3000 dpi with 0.71 sens. Easy to flick, easy to dodge any flash, but difficult when aiming very far enemy like C site on haven because i need to slowing my mouse movement.
I wouldn't call either of those high sens. Just low and super low XD I play in between at .15 1600dpi. Your two sens would basically be .095 and .2 at 1600 XD And actually agree on changing sens not being a bad thing. muscle memory doesn't exist for this type of thing. It's actually good to train both high and low sens in aim trainers as it trains mouse control with different muscles (Fingers/wrist/arm)
Can u try mouse 800dpi and 3200dpi keeping the final sensitivity same. I tried 800 DPI*0.6 = 480 3200 DPI*0.15 = 480 My mouse is g102 Though the final sensitivity is same but the later one was more responsive. Can u try out that and see if u notice anything

itts due to the low hz in your mouse, your mouse is probably 125 hz, get a new mouse with 1000hz and ull be good, there is plenty depending on your budget
my aim is really flicky, so i cant really see myself using low sens, but when i tried and flicks still do work but i didnt have enought mousepad and desk space so i quit
not really that high of a sens. alot of people play up to 1600. shit i used to use 1600 dpi, then i started having wrist problems now i use 800 with .45. then i just realized that lower sens is truly better. became way more consistent after dropping my sens down.
