Dear Minelab Team, Many CTX3030 users including myself are wondering when an update is due similar to what you’ve done with the GPZ7000? The CTX3030 deserves an update to its features and not just new languages added when you’ve previously made updates. Please let me know in the reply if you are considering an update & when the release might be. Many thanks

Look at the bottom of the you tube window. There is a button called " PAUSE " Try using that.

Roger DiRuscio. I know this was two years ago but I'm struggling big time with my ctx3030 that I just purchased. I just want to go detecting!

Roger DiRuscio. Hi Roger. Do you still have your CTX 3030? I've had one for 5 weeks and thinking of selling it! It must take years to learn everything one needs to know? Anyway, if you have time please let me know how you are going with it. I'm seriously thinking of the Garrett AT Max. Cheers from Oz. Chris.

Nice video would you recommend a beginner buying a Ctx 3030 as I'm quite a technical person also I've herd there is a preloaded mode for beginners

Hi, Minifigure Mad UK, yes, the CTX 3030 is suitable for a beginner wanting to start out with the the best detector. There are many preset modes and you can 'turn on and go detecting'. As you are technical, you may have a shorter leraning curve on the detector itself, but whatever detector you buy, there will also be a practical detecting learning curve with understanding what you are lsitening to, setting the detector for different ground types, understanding discrimination and noise, etc, etc. A good UK forum to join for further information is minelabowners.com. A good USA source of information is findmall.com. Think of the CTX 3030 like a sophisticated DSLR camera. They are also 'turn on and go' but have have many specialised settings for users that have a high level of photography experience. We have many dealers in UK that would be be happy to help you further and demo the CTX for you: www.minelab.com/anz/consumer/where-to-buy

what ive noticed so far with minelab is they assume everybody knows the settings etc i.e discrimination pattern ,tone id etc as a potential new customer ive looked at numerous vids on the the ctx3030 and even brought the handbook by andy sabich and im still non the wiser on the settings !
before i spend the £2000 it costs here in the uk on the ctx i would like more vids explaining the basic discrimination patterns what it means becouse if youve never used a minelab machine before its hard to understand

You lost me at the 1:50 mark! The comment below is correct! You are too fast and don't show us what you are doing. Not meaning to be a grump but I'll move on. Thanks for trying. Maybe when I'm a bit more familiar.

I find this with a lot of videos, we don't hear this with the BBC news or weather etc. plus have you thought that whilst you like this kind of music others do not.
