@vasputer i'm a guy... and I understand that guys can usually outperform girls in physical activity. But banning them from competition entirely isn't fair. There are plenty of crazy strong female athletes out there and I'm sure some of them could complete this race...
@ceilingcatdisciple It's not my reasoning. It's redbulls. I mean, think about, this isn't just a normal race. It's a redbull race, and the level of danger sky-rockets compared to a normal race. Paragliding after a grueling endurance section is not the safest thing in the world to do. I'm sure they're just looking out for the safety of the competitors as much as they can. I don't feel like debating over youtube so I'm going to go drink a redbull and do something that makes me piss my pants. PEACE
@ceilingcatdisciple Men and women are built differently. Men have more testosterone and are just physically stronger. It's not sexist, just a basic fact.
@mastuhbates sure, men and women have different bodies... but REFUSING to allow women to compete IS sexist... your reasoning is like saying Asians shouldn't be allowed to compete in a high jump contest because, on average, they're shorter than other "races" of people.
It s a question of safety. Whatever you are a man or a woman....you will sooner or later be in a weird decision making situation....this on your own in a no man s (or woman:)) land and pushed by competition spirit/soul....Woman s limit are not that far vs man. If you want to keep statistics men/women flat and send them to wheel chair or worse....it s not really appropriate
Love the New Zealand tee shirt Nick is wearing!
