I ordered the x3 last night actually. I had the x2 and loved it for motorcycle videos. It's just so convenient to use. I have it mounted on my handlebars on the extendable selfie stick, and press record whenever there's anything interesting. The long batttery life helps a lot too!
My favorite tip was "the stitch line". I can see that as a huge mistake I have made filming!! I have the X3 and also the One RS 1 inch. I bought over my skill level with the One RS 1 inch ... sort of. Still, I like them both and especially as I am finally understanding how to reframe as well as the editing work flow. My advice to others starting out (even though no one asked 🙂) would be to shoot short 10-15 second clips and practice reframing plus the other editing options. I initially became overwhelmed trying to edit longer, even 2-3 minute clips and made more progress working on shorter clips.
@@LearnOnlineVideo took mine to NYC in April. I can watch my whole holiday over again in VR. You even see things you didn't see the first time around as you sit in your swivel chair and look around the city again and again. ♥️
Nice video. Thanks for sharing. One tip that I have seen that is worth repeating is "Protect those lenses!" ... They protrude from the camera body and are easily scratched when they are not covered.
I adore these cameras, they're wonderful. Though they do struggle a little with low-level lighting and distance. The 'remove grain' feature in export works well on removing noise, though. I also discovered that it removes any black selfie stick from the shot. Even a motorbike handlebar mount or a traditional tripod. They both disappeared when I used them.
Hey Profesional, you're great. You helped me to improve my videography much better, I've no gimble for my smartphone, I use tripods instead of that. Yeah that is harder but you teached me about using basic things. Thanks for your much support to avarage people like us who is dreaming to buy a camera and a gimble☺️
Coming from always have a gopro to this.. I'm hesitant but interested to find out how everything works on this badboy!! Thanks for the tips.. Happy filming
Superb as always Steve - super helpful and helped make my decision to buy the X3! As a metal detectorist I am trying to drive my videos forward & truly believe this bit of kit is going to really help! Thanks again, Marcus
Great to see you suing the 360 X3, great tips. I love how creative you are.... got my X3 last week and I'm going to Disneyland soon.. oh what fun it will be.
What I want to know is how much post editing is necessary? How much time will I *have* to spend to make a shot presentable. Are there remote microphones? How close can they get to a subject.
Thanks ever so much for this video.. I bought an Insta 360 One X2 last year and NEVER use it. I have decided to use it solely for our members videos as it is, as you say, quick and easy to edit on the app. If you could make more content on the use of 360 video, I'd be very grateful! All the best and keep the excellent content coming! - Daz.
You mention using the stitch line to help conceal the selfie stick (which is essential for 360 as otherwise you fill half of the 360 image holding the camera) although the camera will remove ‘most’ of the stick from any part of the image (you can sometimes see a smudge around the hand holding the stick). But this advice contradicts the very good point about ensuring the subject is not in line with the stitch … presuming of course you might be the subject. Your clip of walking by the lakeside has the camera at about 45 degrees to you, so the selfie mid-point between centre and stitch line. Is this a best compromise?
Thanks Steve. These are always good tips and you explain it so well. However, I had to wince at you holding a long selfie stick over a railway line. Around here all the lines are electric powered and leaning over a railway line is quite lethal.
Thanks @JRLNeal, glad you enjoy all the tips. In hindsight, going over the rail line was a silly move. It was a spontaneous shot, and sometimes when I'm shooting on the go, I get too focused on being creative and don't think enough about safety. This has been a good reminder of that.
Loved watching your video, I owned the insta x2 and sold it but certain miss it, I’m now on the market for the X3 version, you should have talked about the lens and have to be carful not to scratch or break them and the accessories you can get eg lens caps and cases ect, Yes they are not perfect but protect your investment 😎😎

So why have you ordered the X3?
X3 had a better handling with lowlight than x2? I wonder if this is really a GO PRO 11 killer if still can't figure out low light stuff.
@@mudburon3381 not good with lowlight this x3
X2 has better battery? My X3 battery life is weak. I just bought a powered selfie stick for longer shooting life
Just got the X3 for a Seattle trip. I’ve been going through so many videos. Very helpful!
Cracking video. Just received my X3 today and it's all a bit intimidating if I'm being honest! The tips here make it less so. Cheers.
Totally agreed
So 1 month later, did it get much better?!
Righto
How was your experience after this time past?
I shoot a lot of water tower videos would this action camera be great for my content?
I didn’t know about all these capabilities. I’m impressed!
This by far best review i have found ! That also doesnt take 90 minutes lol. Thank you !

Had my X2 since earlier this year having watched your review on them. Great piece of kit. I love what these little things can do.
360 cameras are so much fun! I’m taking mine to Sweden tomorrow, hoping to shoot the whole trip using just this camera 👍🎥
@@LearnOnlineVideo took mine to NYC in April. I can watch my whole holiday over again in VR. You even see things you didn't see the first time around as you sit in your swivel chair and look around the city again and again. ♥️
Fantastic showcase of what this camera can do! Cheers mate!
I enjoyed your videos on gimbals so much. Now that I have a insta360 x3, I cannot wait to watch more of your videos on 360 video shooting!
Oh how I I am in love with your editing here. Great points you have touched on.
Thank you.
I love your exploding drone hitting the crowd !
Got mine a couple of days ago. I can't wait to use it on the car!!!!! Thank you for the info!!
I tried using my X3 earlier today, and it's awesome.
สุดยอดครับ

Perfect explanation, just what I was looking for.
you earned a subscriber! excellent tips cheers!
*Thanks for clearing most of the things about this cool product in a wonderful way. I've subscribed to your channel looking for more great vids*
Amazing Shot
Nice video. Thanks for sharing. One tip that I have seen that is worth repeating is "Protect those lenses!" ... They protrude from the camera body and are easily scratched when they are not covered.
And there is a special coating on the lenses so you cannot use a dremel and glass polish to get scratches out. I tried and failed.
Would you recommend a lense protector like stick on or a cover.?

Not a little bit, they struggle a lot in low light conditions.
@@TanujbabuTanuj90000 Low light has always been action cams Achilles heels. Small sensor = poor low light.
They have 1inch sensor… rs 360 edition 1inch
I take pictures of landscapes, and I have to be close to my subjects, or you're correct, father away, things get grainy.
Excellent stuff! Very useful :)
Perfect video ever, we need to learn more
I just bought my 360 2 days ago....your video really helps tremendously.... 👍👍👍

Interested in this camera but I’m wondering what spec machine is needed for editing?
Thanks for your video. Would you suggest using one of those protective screen covers? Quality degradation? Sunlight reflection?
I love my insta…. Helps me make quirky sections to my videos. Great action camera!

What is the maximum amount of microSD that can be placed in the camera?
