Love the Sanaig, I am getting down in that bottle!
Thanks for shining a light on these peated sherried whiskies, Alan.
To much sherried influence for me, but there certainly will be whisky lovers that will enjoy these.
Slàinte mhath
I love the Sanaig! I am right on with your head to head reviews today!! The pleasure is absolutely in the sharing! The whisky community is kind and generous! Cheers Alan! I’m imagining you have weather right now similar to Vancouver - the rajn. Arghhh! You would think after living here all my life except for two years away, I’d be used to the damn rain!! lol!!😂
Weather is shitty...whisky always compensates...😜
@@thewhiskyfriend LOL!! You cracks me up!! You are right on! We have a huge cold snap and Vancouver doesn't usually get down to -13 Celcius. Talk about bloody cold weather! It's normally rainy and mild here in the winter. Cold at times but nothing like it is now. A dram or two is perfect by the fire!! Cheers Alan! 🙂
I just tried the sanaig and the Ledaig 10 yesterday and I'm not disappointed at all.
Hi Alan, I haven't tried any of the new glenallachie but kilchoman saniag is one I go back to🤤
I’ve got the MT on my wish list. The Sanaig is wonderful stuff and I hold it in high regard 👍
Hi Alan, good head to head video. Think its about time I revisited the sanaig, it’s been a few years since my last purchase. Slàinte Alan 🥃
At this moment in time, I have both of them opened. Two really great dram. For me, the same score for both, 88/100.
Thats fair....😜
Well done Alan. They sound very tasty. I appreciate the tasting. Thanks 🙏 ciao 👋 S.
This comparison really interested me Alan given I know how much you appreciate this style of whisky. I prefer the Meikle Tor
On a different day fella it could have been the MT....there so evenly matched...both wonderful....
springbank 10 Palo Cortado up next...now thats special fella....😜
Nice comparison Alan 👍
Wonderful, heads up comparison! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on these two whiskeys.
Looks to me like we should be coming up on a magical 7K celebration with a accompanying live stream since you haven’t done one for a while.
Cheers Jerry...maybe fella....😜
In the last 5 or so months Sanaig has been my go to dram for a cigar or pipe sessions…hope the other bottle arrives stateside to try!
Both awesome fella...sanaig just nicks it today...
Alan. I got a bottle of Lum Reek 12 following a review by Foodquig. It is a blended malt combining speyside and Islay malts by Billy Walker, including Glenallachie. I think it might be interesting to hear what you make of it by comparison to Meikle Tor.
Sounds good Michael, i have not picked up a lum reek yet. However i will look out for it...if i do that sounds like a plan fella...thanks for dropping by my friend....😜
Glad I found yuir channel, sir!
Where have you been my friend😜 hope you enjoy the content sir....🤣
@@thewhiskyfriend To answer your question...I'm a pipe smoker, member of the informal RUclips Pipe Community. We have precious few pipe smokers fae Scotland. But pipes and whisky enjoy a sort of overlap. Which led me to Ralfy M. Been watching him a bit lately...so YT algorithms led me to other whisky presenters. Gav's Drams and yuirsel'. As a result I'm learning loads about whisky and hearing that excellent accent. I'm a flight attendant who used to do regular runs to Glasgow where I discovered you excellent lovers of life, salt of the earth Scots. You and your magnificent nation have been in my blood ever since. Visited many times....
