@@barafi9903 just go back and change the settings you did, remove the stuff from the auto exec and make miles occlusion to 1

Thank you, this actually resolved my problem. Yesterday I did clean install of windows and after reinstalling Apex, the in game audio was really quiet and muffled. Changing miles occlusion to 0 actually helped and now the audio is how it always used to be. It's weird because I play Apex since February 2019 and format my PC twice a year, but I never had this kind of sound issue. It looks like since the beginning miles occlusion was set to 0 by default, so I can't imagine that most people play with it set to 1. Or maybe it is the steam version thing that now it is set to 1 by default, idk. Anyways thanks for help!

man this completely changed the game for me, thanks brother.
If yall cant find his config for the audio program just manually pick one of the presets that dont sound important(the *dance* one) and enter the values u see under the blue graph lines

This helped me a lot with audio before the collection event, did u notice any difference since then? my audio is way too "good" right now, i hear teammate footsteps way too loud and sometimes i hear people getting ressed or heal all over the map

Dude you're a legend. It makes it so much easier to pinpoint sound direction and footsteps are much more clear now. Verticality of those kinda difficult to figure out, but it's definitely better cause sounds actually reliable now. Must have config.

@@AhmedMiDoOo100 I did everything, except equalizer. I'm on steam, miles occlusion definitely work in season 9, I have no dull sound fx whenever someone behind an object/wall.

Fyi all new viewers they patched this over a year ago and its not available to do anymore, but it was amazing when it worked. Maybe complys will tell us if he figured anything else out that would help???

anybody looking at this recently they took the occlusion options out of the note so all you have to do is copy them from his description and paste each on their own seperate lines at the bottom and save, worked for me. think the codes still there for it they just took it out

paste it at the bottom of the autoexec or the profile?
@@ncopp4358 only one you want to copy is miles_occlusion "0" into the slot under miles_language " " and save the profile config. the auto exec file is made by you so that wont be there unless you created it, when you do so, copy his exact auto exec note and that parts fine. the miles occlusion setting was taken out of the profile.cfg so you just have to manually add it.

a quick question! is it necessary to add an auto exec file if i already made changes in profile.cfg , and if its not do i have to still enter +exec autoexec in advanced launch options?
The mile_occlusion setting has been removed because devs want their sound to have occlusion and therefore be muddy and trash and unreliable.

This helped a lot. I could not hear footsteps AT ALL, ever. But these settings changed that. Thing is, after the last small update it no longer works for me. If this is the case in general and not just for me, I would love if you post an update (of course, only if you figure out how to work around it).
EDIT: Nvm, reinstalling the game fixed it.

Tried this on Season 9, it worked perfectly fine. But i think they fixed/removed this option on Season 10.
they did, they also changed it to directional
They patched it, bunch of clowns.

I was considering doing this while playing a game and during it i got pushed and punched in the back with no audio at all. now im conviced to try this
It's actually crazy how much my preformance has dropped since they disabled miles_occlusion I can literally not hear anything at all like before I didn't need to focus on the audio and could just focus on my aim but now with it removed I have to strain my ears to hear anything at all, this has been the worst season so far just because they removed miles had they not done that I could have dealt with Seer but now its just wallhacks legends with no audio.
Going back and forth from R5Reloaded (season 3 based modded Apex) and current Apex where these settings still work is absolute night and day. It feels like I'm wearing earplugs while playing now :(

Whenever I hear footsteps my heart rate spikes to 200bpm, now that'll reach 400bpm
does the equalizer apo and peace gui effect your standard day to day routine on your pc like watching youtube? i downloaded it if so do you know how i can set it to only apex?
It does give u audio latency keep that in mind

@@complys I don’t think upgrading would fix the footsteps issue. This game just has horrible audio bugs, and it doesn’t seem like it will be fixed soon…or ever.

Yes helps a lot but in some scenarios is bad like when I try to res a teammate and I hear steps from a mile afar don't know if I should or not. Anyway, maybe I need to get used to it.

that's just a glitch. It has nothing to do with anything in this video. it will probably be fixed next apex update
