Great video Eric thanks
Great video Eric. Redesigned the antenna base a bit to make it a bit smaller and added a wing nut to the wire side to swap out pretuned elements
Very cool demo, nice work Eric 👍 👍
Thanks Eric. Cool net. Glad to see you check in to the Activity Net. News to me and I gotta check in tomorrow.
It's addicting, been on there every day for months while mobile....
By the way, I think I told you before, I have the IC-7100 I got for Christmas in 2019. Use it as base right now! On a 20M end fed!
Love the end fed! Really like the 3D print too. I'm using an EF from an ARC in HI. It has been in my attic for a few years and does pretty well from WA.
Happy new year! 2E0 SCO John
nice video Eric. I am working with End fed half wave portable antenna as well. using a 49:1 and 2 stack of T 240-43 ferrite and that 100 PF 3KV cap. I cut wire for 12 meters and have a counterpoise . great tune .less then 1:5 SWR. I am in NY . 10 meters was down a tad but 12 meters was wide open. lots of FT8. running 250 watts FT8 hours and ferrite was cool. nice job with that 3D printing. I bought 3D printed winder base for T 240 and SO 239. I 2 stack the cores and #14 PTFE wire. I got pink wire from DX engineering . also got a spool of DX commander DX 10 wire. the only band that not open is 6 meters. for me that spring/summer. 73's
I've also seen you use PSK reporter.
Insert negative comments here.....its crap it doesn't have a tuner, its only 10 watts, it doesn't have DMR, it is too expensive....hehe...good video Eric. i love my 705. Used it a lot this year activating 142 parks in Nebraska....I do like that I can put GPS data from it for sending POS reports on Winlink, also pulling GPS time for syncing clock on CPU for FT8, it also can upfdate your POS automatically for roving but have now set that up yet. keep up the good work...73
Nice video, thanks Eric
I'd like to have one of those Infed for my qrp. Great video KY9L/ Nathan from MO. 73 Eric
HNY to you and your Family, Eric. Keep up your good work in 2024 & stay healthy. 73 de Your Friend Uncle Günter 💯🙏🍀🛡♥👌
I'm just starting to get into making antennas just curious on your thoughts what would happen if you doubled or tribal full length of the antenna I'm wondering if it would pick up weak signals better God bless you 73
Nice video. So how do you like that Go Case? How's the durability and the functionality,? Im still thinking about buying one myself
It's all I use. I literally unzip this thing and use it wherever I am. He did a fantastic job with construction.. I know the price is a little high but you get what you pay for. Can also put the tuner inside if you wanted to
Ch 19 .9
Do you have a choke for that antenna, Eric? From my experience with mine, I'd add a small choke about 15' off of the end near the radio.
It is made for qup and usually if you are using a 50ft rg58 you dont need any chokes on the line
Can I use the xpa125b amplifier on the kx3
eric is the 705 mars modded?
No
I like these type of videos.
