I'm very tempted to get this one. The price is very reasonable, and 440C is not a bad steel. It isn't the latest greatest, and it gets dissed nowadays, but it was a premium steel for many years before all the powdered metals started hitting the market. It looks thin and slicey, so for me a good camp knife for food prep, LIGHT kindling splitting., cutting paracord or bank line, etc.On another note..I'm your 400th sub!!! Woo hooo!
I really like this knife and l don’t have any problem with 440, I think it is a fine steel. This is definitely a slicey knife! And thank you for 400!! 🎉🎉✌️🇺🇸
May have found my next bargain knife. Looking for a fixed-blade to carry when out walking the dogs. FWIW, my Spyderco Paramilitary 2 also has really sharp jimping. Thanks for the review. You don't have to spend $200 to get a decent knife.
You're right! I've spent a £few hundred on knives. Some really expensive, but I've now gone back to three of the really cheap knives - A small hollow grind and a full flat grind both made by Whitby Knife Co (UK) and a Linder Guide with a 5.5" blade. All three together cost no more than £60
My SpyderCo Pacific Salt 2 has micro jimping too, not sharp-maybe my thunb still strong, which is different from big knife because you don't put a lot of force behind it. Jimping is overrated. My SpiderCo Endura doesn't have jimping and it is fine compare to the one with jimping. I grind some jimping off my knives with a sanding wheel attached to the drill and fasten to a table with wood clamps, except the Pacific Salt 2.
I got the ODENWOLF SOW CATCHER....paid $50 with free shipping with a discount code. Knife came screaming sharp. I cut myself badly. It's the best knife value around currently. I like it better than many other knives I have that are around $100.
Did you say you cut the cheese😅.First time I saw your video, well done.Seems like a good bargin.Coated blade good sheath.Worth the extra money.I wish it was a drop pt.Would have made much handyer bladed. G.L. with the channel.
Whats going on with Odinwolf? Their website and amazon are almost all sold out. At least all the bushcraft models. I cant tell if they are doing great and need to scale up or are on the verge of going out of business...

If the heat treat is good on that 440 that'd make a damned good knife. I admit I wouldn't buy an mtech or elk ridge. There's too many choices out there to buy instead of those 2. But that's my opinion.
Oh I don’t disagree with you at all. The Odenwolf is a great little package for the price, I think it can have a place in anyone’s collection. I just like to review some of these really cheap knives because some folks honestly can not afford $100 or more on a knife, but I like to showcase some budget beaters from the $20-$40 range that the weekend warrior or occasional user can have on their side and get the job done for them. Plus I really just like knives, so it’s fun for me to review these types of blades.
@@marshfootoutdoors lol, not as sorry as I am. I emailed Odenwolf to see if aussie shipping could be a thing but got a polite no. Looking forward to getting one if or when they are available
Well, I dunno. The high end custom stuff is certainly out there, but they are definitely at a price that is tough for the average bear to afford. And yes there is no shortage of budget blades out there, but some of them are quite good for the price.
Okay I’m trackin. Yeah that’s probably because unless companies are sending you those knives or you are rich, it would not be sustainable for someone like myself to be able to review high end custom stuff, I’d be broke and divorced in a month, lol. You prob already know but Preparedmind 101 does higher end reviews and I also like Zack In The Wild. I did review a TOPS knife a few weeks back.
@@marshfootoutdoors or somebody who has money , not married, and is a Bushcrafter like me starts doing videos, lol. I’m familiar with Tanner, he was doing large knife reviews before I liked large knives. Have not heard of Zack in The Wild. I will check him out tho. But what miffs me is the few high end reviews that are out there, get tons of burger flippers who have to comment on how they would never spend “that much” ( however that much is ) on a knife. That is why I push back with an opposite pro view for higher end knives. Tops has their niche for sure. I like the different designs they come up with. But they do stick to one dominant steel , as many do, and they are mostly thick, 1/4” and above. It makes for a heavy tool and heavy isn’t my bag baby, lol. The “UL” in my name stands for Ultralight. I did buy/collect Tops by the dozen. But have given them all away pretty much. Even tho their steel isn’t the “greatest” they do have a great heat treat resulting in good performers. Thanks for the posts and the banter sir!
I received my scandi today which at first glance, thought this one was mine. Went with the green but mine is D2 steel. Great review

Very good review. You are concise and clear. Subbed.
Thank you. Much appreciated ✌️🇺🇸
I agree.. A proper unboxing.
I bought this exact knife in black. It comes in today. I wanted a flat grind knife to compliment my Mora Garberg which has a Scandinavian grind.
Nice review! Good job!
Thanks for watching!
I love this brand of knives. I have several of them in my collection
Good luck with your site, guy 👍
I love it. You look like Yukon Cornelius's son. That is so cool. He carried a pistol and a knife :-)
LOL

Thanks for review. Are you in mountains? Looking forward to more
Thanks, nope not in the mountains, but I do make it a point to get to the mountains as often as I can.
Nice work / video 👍
Thank you!!
Thank you for the info man!
You're welcome!
Just got one in black handle and black sheath W-Flat .... ☝️💯‼️🌕🐺
Right on!
Fantastic video! Good job sir!
Thank you kindly!
Got me one today! Nice !!!!
Right on!
Dang...I have so many knives. I got to sell a few to free up space and have an excuse to get this one.
Great review.
Thanks!

Lmao… l guess l did say cut the cheese! Yeah l agree with you on the blade profile, but it’s still a pretty good little knife not withstanding.
440 c pretty good steel.Keep smiling
Unfortunately, the green color, which is very cool, does not seem to be currently available on Amazon. They do have a black version of the W.
How did the tip hold out for you? The first one I got it slightly bent. Others the. That it’s a good knife.
Well, so far so good, haven’t tortured tested it or anything but it’s held up just fine to regular use.
P.s. i am left handed and you can move the belt strap to either side
Great knowledge/use base. I identify w this knife. I'd buy one based on your review if I didn't have 3 in this niche. Thank you
No worries at all, thank you for watching ✌️🇺🇸

I honestly do not know
Where are they made ?
You can get this in scandi grind with d2 steel.
Just picked one up, love it
14C28N would have been ideal

I can understand why you don't mention the price for the Particular knife you are showing. Have a great year.
I always mention the price of every knife I review.
@@marshfootoutdoors I watched again and you mention $33.00 and mention the Mtech black rino knife . Got it sorted out and my APOLOGY.
What style is that one? I can’t find one with that case
I believe it’s called the “W”

Why not just make the rolling shoe’s just move consistently via a Bluetooth connection to a controller?
Say whut, Cletus?
Can't get these in Australia...

All sold out and can't even find the shop on Amazon uk
Watchman and brother knivee is another brand, I think they are sister companies.
I’ll check them out, thanks for the suggestion.
I looked for this one on Amazon they are still sold out.
Nice set up n that price
Oh yeah great price, thanks for watching ✌️🇺🇸
“Budget” excellence? “Common” man?

Five and a half minutes into the video before you even get a look at the knife.
