Thank you for this video, Jess!! It was very informative. I want to work in government so I feel like I need to get some solid internship/part-time work experience during my program. Do you think I should prioritize first-author publications, work experience, or both?
Yes I agree - the work/internship experience is important. I would definitely prioritize that, while also maybe getting a few publications on the side. Sometimes the work experience can also lead to publications!
