I've done similar with a come-along for the bumper support on an old car. When what you're working on is basically scrap to start with there's nowhere to go but up 🤣
@@Reserector in a way, that once frame is bent, motorcycle is not road worthy anymore. Obviously steel has gone past its ceitical strength and will be weakened in that spot, no matter hown you "fix" it. Ethics aside, you don't even use proper equipment to straighten it, not to mention frame geometry measuring device. This bike is scrap.

Never will be. I have nearly 130,000 miles on it. It is nearly worn out. When I am done with it I will sell or give away parts off of it to my YZF600 friends. Please also bear in mind that the only part that was bent was the part that supports the seat and fender. (Commonly a bolt-on sub-frame on other bikes) That section has nothing to do with the engine/suspension structure. The primary portion of the frame never got a scratch. I'd also like to note that this frame is all steel; not aluminum. But I digress. You're not wrong, but neither am I. I would only be wrong if I planned to sell it.

Just to follow up, this repair was successful. The bike tracks perfectly, even when riding "No hands".

Yes. Welded to the main frame. Not replaceable like the aluminum frames.
