It is written, "Honour your father and mother ,it is the only commandment of God with a promise of long life." All self acclaimed and self men of God can not save you, bless you even if you drop your entire salary in their bank account. They don't even know you are existing on earth, talk less of praying for you like your parents will do day and night. Those days, first salaries were given to parents, and they prayed prosperity into your life. But since the prosperity preachers have taken over the world, they have stolen the heart, destiny, dignity, and honour of men. God will set people free, and we shall be free indeed. Jesus didn't talk about tithe during His earthly ministry as recorded in the gospels. The only place He mentioned in passing was in Matheaw 23:23 supposedly under the law. Immediately after the cross ,old covenant under which tithing was enacted closed and a new covenant came to replace. The disciples of our Lord Jesus never talked about tithing after He left. The problem is that people aren't reading the Bible that is why they are easily manipulated. People are more pastor centric than Bible centric and until the order is reversed people will continue to be vulnerable. Anyone who voluntarily wants to be paying should continue but must not be under compulsion.
