Honestly he was badass is was team Evil Tantai Jin from the get go. And the more the show went on the more I just wanted him to go "screw it" and wreck the sects. I was disapointed he [spoiler] ended dying for them, they didn't deserve him. Even Susu, she distrusted him almost till the end I was like "drop her, just be evil my guy, it will be cathartic".
