I've been waiting for this video! Thank you for uploading these upgrade guides. I would definitely not run the 4 cost Koby in any version of the deck, that card is dead as soon as you use it and for that purpose you may as well run more of the 3c Koby which cost 1 less Don and can KO 3 costs, or add 6c Sakazuki for better top end and removal. For level 1 I'd cut all three copies of the 4c Koby and simply add another 3c Garp, another 4c Hina and another 5c/6c Smoker. Alternatively, if you want better top end and maintain some removal, cut all three copies of 4c Koby and one 3c Hina, then add another 3c Garp, another 4c Hina and two of the 6c Sakazuki. For level 2, again cut all three copies of 4c Koby, add one copy of 3c Koby and two copies of 6c Sakazuki. For level 3, I believe four copies of 3c Brook is optimal. 7c Jack doesn't feel as good in this deck, so I'd cut one copy there to make room for another Brook. Same with 5c Sabo, I'd cut one copy and add another 1c Tsuru or 3c Tashigi. You can definitely get away with running only two of the 4c Borsalinos and 3c Hinas, and adding back one to two copies of 5c T Bone. Also, I'd maybe cut one copy of Sengoku for another 2c Helmeppo. These adjustments feel better into what is currently being played from my experience. Like you said yourself in the video, these are just my opinions and suggestions, ultimately you should play what you want to play.
Pro for the 4 cost koby is that it doesnt cost you an additional card on the lower levels where you dont have moria to recur card value, and also if it KOs something AND blocks by way of being attacked down immediately thats still value
Out of pure curiosity, does anyone know how much the total cost of the level 3 deck is total? I just bought 2 of the Smoker starter decks to make sure I have play sets of the core, but now I’m wondering if I even needed to.
TCGPlayer market puts everything not in the starters at about 240 atm, with the pain point cards $$$ wise being brooks and sabos! between the 2 brook is DEFINITELY the more important as smoker struggles to mutli KO since it can't utilize 4C Lucci as well as other black decks, So having a brook already on board allows you to easily manage boards with multiple KO in a turn.
Very glad I found this channel since I'm just recently getting into the TCG. Do you guys plan on creating any deck upgrade guides for some of the earlier structure decks?
Unfortunately no because they just won't perform well as a RUclips video and we need them to perform well as a video to justify our limited time when we could work on other videos
if there's a site that lets you do it, putting decklists for each tier in the description would be beneficial to me at least. whatever site shows prices. Im adhd so keeping up with it as the video goes on is hard
New player here.. im like 120 dollars into a dofy deck and being smoked by every black deck and surprisingly enel..... i think the big kaido mwy be required
Doffy is like RP law where Enel eats your lunch (10c kaido is great to help alleviate it) but mostly you gotta hit them for 2 damage while taking 2 damage to turn off gedatsus, then build to max board, pudding their large hand, and try to crack in hard turn over turn and just eat all the triggers. Meanwhile Lucci is a game of getting under them and staying aggressive while their job is to control board. You must remove jack anytime you can (red roc.is your friend here) because every turn they untap him you lose 1 character and they loot 1 card. Also always put them to 0 unless you'll die on the crack back from a rested character since they can always make blockers but you'll always have the opportunity to rip a perfume femur or blocker interaction to get 1 good swing off leader. But Lucci just is the best deck of the format so isn't much you can do but commit
Works against the navy black sub package you need to run the Sengoku draw/trash engine and have plenty of reduction already that fits the bill and works :)
It's like $4 right now and isn't really heavily played anymore as well as having judge promo reprint (cheap) and new AA from best collection 2 pushing it's price down
@@JoyBoysTCG In Australia, Hina is a $9 AUD card, almost the price of SR, The Judge reprint hitting around $20 and the new AA is still around $15. These are not budget-friendly numbers imo I think alternatively, ST06 Helmeppo is around $1, fills a similar role and fits the budget-friendly niche. Of course im from Australia and our prices and stock on cards could be completely different
when you're missing the st coby, the t bone, a st smoker copy, and two st6 hinas.

What are your thoughts on EB01-048 Laboon for the deck?

When will we have a video of the Uta Green starter deck upgrade?
Later this week, already up for members
💀sakazuki or geko with like 3 different characters
What characters… also are they leaders? I just got the smoker deck and I’ve never played op before
