I'ld be pleased about your critics and proposals in order to get better for future projects.
I shot this clip on the Sony a6500 in 1080p, 100fps/100Mbit.
The Lens is Sigma 30mm 1.4 DC DN (Contemporary) for E mount.
Graded with FCPX and Filmconvert and the Film Journal LUT from Sidney Diongzon.

Hi, thank you for your feedback! I can assure you that you will not make a mistake with this combination. Look at the Sigma 16mm. In my opinion, the lens is the better every day lens than the 30mm. I wish you much fun with the camera!

Thanks Mate! The Sony was a good camera but I wouldn't buy it today. Buy a Canon. Preferably an R6. Here you get the same colors or even better with much less effort in post production.

The thing is that in my country (Argentina) today's cameras are way too expensive and even if you have the money its not that easy to find a store that has the camera (even if you go to the office store of cannon, nikon, sony, etc). I will try to look foward to get the canon one after some research because im not an expert :p

This pretty much just sealed the deal for me. I have been an aps-c photographer for awhile who has been wanting to go full frame, but i also need to shoot video so since i can't go straight to the a7III, the a6500 just won because of this video!!

For the people who wants to buy this camera, I have the a6300 and I use for professional and personal projects I’ve been using this camera for almost 3 years already and works perfect! With the sigma 30 1.4, I use for both (photography and videography) for any kind events as weddings and music videos as well, everything is marketing and they want us buy the newest model but this is a such a beautiful camera still in 2019, is worth it! And is really durable mine has been enduring extreme weather condition as rain, snow storm, dust, I using this camera a lot for my travel videos and professional, it has “cons” but it’s much better the PROS!

This is a great video and has pumped me up and got me hype. I'm buying the sony a6500 with kit lens today , but also picking up a sigma 16mm to go with it . I'm gonna have to look for this 30mm as well.

Crisp video. Smooth motions. Like the color grade. I'd just say there needs to be more grand and expansive shots at the choruses of the song to give that sense of awe--there are a lot of close shots in anticipation and not nearly as many shots of the beautiful Austrian landscape as I'd expect, but then I again I don't know the actual area and yes I'm just a sucker for big epic scenery. haha
I'm on a similar journey although I just started a year ago; been practicing with the a6500 and Sony 18-105 F4 G over the past 6 months and thoroughly enjoying it!

What render settings do you use? My footage always lose way too much quality after I have rendered
You have to render in 4k because youtube allows more color information with 4k material

I was on the brink of buying the A6500 but was worried about the supossed bad 1080p quality and even worse 120fps quality. I came to this video by chance and didn't realize at first it was 1080p and I was like aaaw this camera is so gorgeous. I don't know if you used any sharpening but I think it looks gorgeous. Could be the Sigma lens that gives it the crispy look. Well anyway, I just purchased the Sigma 5 minutes ago and I'm dead set now on buying this camera next week. Thank you for the video.
Hi Marić, thank you for your comment! I know what you mean and I agree with you. The 1080p quality is not the best. It looks like washed out! In my opinion the key is the setting in the internal PP! I set it from -7 to 0! No sharpening in post! I do not think that it is the Sigma because it looks the same with my 18-105 Sony glas. I think you're not doing anything wrong with this combo! Go out and have fun!!!! Greats from Germany.

Thank you mate! With an wide open aperture you definitely a ND filter!! I have tested many filters and in my opinion the TIFFEN Filters are the best!

Beautiful video! I has the same camera been a while and love it. Exposure is always challengin (most difficult in hard sun light!) and I’m wondering how you get this beautiful light hole video? Do you use ND Filter or just adjust shutter speed higher? I have Sigma 16mm 1.4 🙂 Thank you if you can answer! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Hi Anniina, thank you for your comment! At first, to adjust the shutter speed higher is no option when you want a cinematic look!! You should double your fps, not more!!! For example. When you work with a 25fps timeline then set your shutter speed to 50fps. Or maybe 100fps when you want to work with slow motion. Ok, if I have now set the time I choose my aperture. ISO is set to 100 for good quality. If your picture is still overexposed, you only have the option to use an ND filter. Or you close the aperture and lose the cinematic effect of the open aperture. I hope i can help a little bit!! I have looked at your work and think it's great! keep it up and let me know if my advice was an aid to you :-)

Pascal Eckhardt what do you mean by fps? You mean 100 shutter speed when you are filming at 60fps? You dont have 100fps option. Its 25, 30, 60, or 120 fps.
Oh man, that night footage... not an ounce of noise. Yep, definitely getting this camera first chance I get.
The trick is when shooting in dark overexposure !! Then underexpose in post production. Then you have no noise. It would be bad the other way around!
Man the color grade is superb! What editing software did you used?

I am thinking of getting an a6500 with the 30 sigma . 1.4. 16.mm sigma and Zeiss 16 70. I shoot events like nightclubs . Would this be a good setup. Like is it a good low light setup
Hi Kevin, the Sigma 30mm is a great lens for lowlight situations. In my opinion the A6500 is not :-(

amazing video! I want to make more videos like this one, but how do you make slow motion (1/2 speed/60p) shots in 4K and maintain quality? If you shoot in 4k 30p, then slow down by half, and use optical flow in prem pro, does that maintain a good look?
Thank you ericHi5! I do the slow motion with 1080p and 100fps. Then i have the option to do a 25fps timeline! When i shot in 4k then with 25fps too!! Thats work perfect!!

Hi Krystian, thanks for your comment! I did not use a gimbal or similar for this video. The internal stabilizer and the camera strap pulled tight around the neck here was completely sufficient.
