@Allison Keck If LJ refers to Lyndon B Johnson, you might want to check how much good he has done for black people. Before his expansion of the Liberal Welfare state, only 20% of black children were raised in single parent households. 30 years after his policies were implemented (so essentially 1 generation), that number had tripled. LBJ pretty much destroyed the black family with his awful policies. I suggest looking into economist Thomas Sowell, who explains this in much greater detail.
Allison Keck I’m not sure how the welfare system is contributing to racism based on your point. I don’t know if you agree but I believe it should be illegal for someone who is eligible to work to bring in taxpayers money because they want to sit on their lazy ass and not contribute. Also, I don’t think theirs too many Jim Crow supporting politicians remain. If their are, that’s the people’s fault for voting him in. Republican or Democrat, racism is wrong, and I firmly believe the president is not racist. Thank your for being respectful with your point.
Allison Keck I understand that Jim Crow supporting politicians could pass down that ideology through the generations. But I have yet to hear of many self proclaimed or even non self proclaimed racist politicians in a higher state of government to where they can make any laws. And even in the 60s, Jim Crow is the only main act passed. Most of the laws we follow today are either from common sense in high ranking politicians or the the constitution and its respective amendments. If their is so called systemic racism, than there would be many more racist politicians. If you could name some racist politicians with solid proof, not a quote. Policies that have been enforced that are racist in recent memory. Jim Crow was awful, but we’re past it, and I think if we want all racism to end, we should stop talking about it.
Allison Keck Please I’m not trying to be rude, but what are the racist and white supremacist policies that are targeting minorities? I mean, an actual example, an actual law passed that specifically has targeted minorities. And I don’t think I’m very wrong. Tell me, if you never taught a boy about race, that were all the same inside and out. Vs a kid who you explicitly talk about race too. Which ones gonna have a more likely opinion to judge someone based on race? Talking to a kid about depression is very different than teaching systemic racism. I myself don’t think systemic racism is real, and all I’ve heard so far is anecdotes and accusations. Jim Crow was horrible, if we don’t want it to happen again, than let’s stop talking about race so much. And I’m very willing to hear from you on what it is.
Allison Keck LBJ did not write the Civil Rights Act. It was written by the Republicans and signed into legislation by LBJ, only after it was filibustered for months by the Democrats, who were not very happy at all that he finally signed it. He was also known to use the n-word very openly and freely.

Joe 9 I think he’s up there when you look at what he’s done for the people in 4 years
Joe 9 Abe Lincoln thought black people belonged in their “homeland” like they had genetic ties to their land and wanted to ship them all back, slavery was ended for diplomatic and economic reasons. He said repeatedly he believed in white supremacy in his speeches and even Fredrick Douglass said that he had “the prejudices of his white fellow countrymen against the negro” that being said, obviously for what he did he still ranks as one of the best presidents but overall it’s a good thing he was assassinated or else he would have let his bigotry show.
Andrew Garfield was less racist than Trump but trump is easily in the bottom 5 of racist presidents
Joe 9 Abe was also accustomed to the belief that whites were superior, he freed slaves to have more troops on the ground fighting for the union. I bet you think the entire civil war was about slavery and that confederate flags make you a racist

“He’s still racist”, “why”, “He said racist things”. I would’ve loved if this girl said “Any proof?” this dude would be shut down.
