Please please PLEASE i'm begging you not to stop these amazing documentaries, they depict the exact eurovision spirit: unity, diversity, internationality. Keep them for the next years too!
P.S: Loreen the only real winner
So nice seeing behind the scenes people get their credit. Obviously the artists are in focus but this proves that ESC is collective work❤
For the ESC24 we want a 2h documentary ! From the national selection to the winner ! It's so good to see the background !
But if you want to do a documentary in 10 parts of 1h, I take it too ! 😁
Yesss we need a whole series!!
such a good contest 🙌🏼🙏🏼 well done Liverpool! ✨
Beautifully constructed documentary! It really shows that Eurovision is more than JUST a contest! It's more than JUST a 3 night event! It's about having an experience of your lifetime to go out on a INTERNATIONAL stage and show the continent and the world what you are made of!
And let's not forget the marvelous friendships that we've witnessed this year, not only among the contestants, but among the people who put their energy, heart and soul into making it an experience that has to be seen to be believed!
Thank you, United Kingdom and Ukraine, for joining hands and bringing us one of the best shows ever presented to the screen! Thank you, contestants, for sharing your love and passion for what you do!
And last, but not least, thank you, Eurovision, for bringing people together despite all our differences!
United by Music, we shall be!!! 🎼❤
Thank you so much 🙏🏼 So glad you enjoyed it!
Eurovision never disappoints 😍
Why did I cry with this?? 😭 It is beautiful, a true masterpiece 💗⭐️
Thank you so much! 🙏🏼
Everyone was amazing this year, Well done to every artist! 🫶🫶
Would love a longer documentary next year, talking to the contestants and their teams, delving into staging and wardrobe and lyrics choices :)
The lyric choices for all of them would take too long. The lyrics had already been analysed by countless vloggers.
@@ar50000 those are just some example ideas, I’m just saying it would be nice to delve deeper and create a more personal and intimate portrayal rather than the more objective outside-looking-in vibe this video kinda has. Like each contestant is a whole story, and while yes there probably wouldn’t be time to tell everyone’s story, it would be nice to follow at least a few fan favourites’ journeys through the competition
we need more of these documentaries.
Ngl when Watergun echoed in the background from 13:46 to 15:43, that gave me goosebumps.
What an amazing insight we had for this contest too, well done to the entire Eurovision team and Liverpool for pulling this off!!
Thank you so much! 🙏🏼😊
Eurovision to me is like a marriage: I think about it all the time, spin my head around my favorite things about it and when the show stars I just feel emotional, I just cry of happiness, of enjoyment, of how alive the show makes me feel. I just so over joyed that I will be in Malmo next year and this doc just made as EMOTIONAL as I will be on that arena next year!!!
I grew up only watching sports on TV. Then in my mid-20's I discovered Eurovision and now I watch ESC and JESC every year in TV.
@@adrianelias2365 That’s why when people ask me about Eurovision I answer “Is the Wolrd Cup of Music” and everybody understand!!!!
Thank you @eurovision and thank you @LucyGalliford for creating a magical and well crafted behind the scenes glimpse into this awesome event. Hoping for more next year 🙏
An amazing year, an amazing contest, I had the best week. Well done Liverpool 👏🏼
I am always fascinated by everything that goes on behind the scenes with this kind of events and productions. So many people working so hard with their different areas of expertise, for a shared goal to make this one show happen. So many hours, months of work leading to a show that is over in a few hours. There is something beautiful but bittersweet about it.
i FREAKING LOVED THIS INSIGHT!!!
Documentaries like this should be a lesson to all online Eurovision fans. Their purpose is to remind us that there are thousands of hard-working people behind the final result which we see in our screens every May, so all of us ought to just be *respectful* and grateful.
The average lazy Eurovision fan loves to hide him/herself behind a username and post negative comments about every single detail surrounding the contest every year while forgetting that some people put actual effort into satisfying him/her, even if it doesn't always work as intended.
In short, next time you see an online fan outcry about anything related to the Eurovision show (rehearsals etc.) simply give them the link to this video. Thank you.
The joy, the hurt. This is just beautiful. 🧡
Fantastic footage!!!! !!!! !!!!
It’s actually what I miss during the contest… the backstage emotions…
Good job!!!
This should become a tradition.
This was so wonderful to watch! Please do more of these types of documentaries.
Loved this, the last shot was beautiful ❤️
Watched this and tbh im so glad i don't see Theodor Andrei's reaction to his NQ. that probably would've killed me. Watching him pray for a Q that ngiht was heartbreaking enough. This man is everything, and this is why i just can't let myself rewatch 2023 because of how horribly he was treated by Eurovision fans and by T*R. Just thinking about it makes me want to cry so hard. There. Is. More. To. Theodor. Andrei. Than. Just. A. Few. Unsettling. Lyrics. In. DGT!!!!!😭😭😭😭 🇷🇴🇷🇴🇷🇴🇷🇴
I love it! ❤ I could stay watching it for hours, thank you. One of my dreams now is to watch a ESC final one day. I just live too far from Europe, but I will go.
That is an amazing statement ❤
Watching this makes me wanna go on Eurovision even though I can’t sing 😂
Pure Emotions,Pure Feelings,Pure Art,Pure Music,A clear Message..Eurovision is For Everyone and Everyone can be Anyone.Thats what makes Eurovision Great.
Breathtaking Documentary,Thank you for this.❤️🤗
This comment is beautiful 🥺
i'm so excited, can't wait to see it!! 🫶🏻
Merry Christmas one and all coming all the way from Barbados. 🇧🇧
Merry Christmas ❤️ from The Netherlands 🇳🇱🌷
woooow so much great footage😍😍😍 love it🎉 pls do that every year
I want that every year please 😍
THE best produced live show on Earth!
Best documentary I ever saw!! Please do them every year!!
Eurovision is magical keep going 🌠🙏
That was excellent! I'm in tears. Well done ❤
Lots of Love 💕 Eurovision ✨
The UK knows how to organise and how to party.
Kudos.
Love eurovision ❤❤ Love Loreen ❤❤
Blanca deserved better ❤ Amazing documentary that shows the amazing work behind camera and crying watching Iru :(
This was absolutely amazing. Why am i getting so nervous for everyone all over again loll, i already know what happened 😭
That's INCREDIBLE 😍
Such a good documentary thank you Eurovision 🙏🙏🙏
Definitly not want to let this sound rude; but I kinda loved to see some contestants who were definitly not predicted to get to the final (San Marino and Ireland for example) still get so emotional about their NQ... Shows how much every contestant cared about Eurovision and that was visible. This was another great year and I just want to say thank you to everyone involved.
Great documentary, please EBU keep stuff like this up because this was just so wel designed and I love getting insights.
Yeah. Just like how I KNEW damn well Romania wouldn't Q, yet in my head, in my heart, I still had hope. When Theodor NQed, I admit, I bawled for like, an hour. It was worse when I found out he got no points...
as someone not living in any country inside the EBU and the EBA, I just hope that other "continents" can have official licensed versions of this amazing contest, organised by the equivalent of EBU in each of the other continents and using the similar format as of Eurovision. it's like having Eurovision every three months, but the rest of them are for other continents.
There was a try with American Song Contest where the states competed against each other in several heats and then the final. Swedes Christer Björkman, Peter Settman, Anders Lenhoff and Ola Melzig put the contest together. The show didn't get much promotion though. Basically only the Americans who already knew what Eurovision was, were aware of ASC happening and it didn't get many viewers. There wasn't a second competition the following year and the show has been put on ice.
Fun fact: the winning song for ASC was written by Swede Cazzi Opeia a.k.a. Moa Carlebecker (who co-wrote Tattoo) and the runner up song had Swedish songwriters involved too.
@@lightwalker7123 It also didn't help that the shows were put up against American Idol, which still proves to be a ratings juggernaut. There were also plans to do a similar contest here in Canada, but it's literally impossible to divide 10 provinces and 3 territories into 5 qualifier rounds
@@lightwalker7123but American Song Contest is NOT Americas Song Contest, there are differences between them. I only want the expansion to be continental and organised by the EBU of that continent; American Song Contest is not. that is why it kinda flopped, in my opinion.
@@mysticgirl916 many seem to not read correctly what I actually wish. American Song Contest is NOT the way I want this contest to expand. I want it to be continental and organised by the EBU of each other continent (Asia-Oceania, Africa and the Americas).
Beautiful documentary :)
Eurovision 2023 was AMAZING
Greetings and Love from Poland ❤️🇵🇱😍
Eurovision is a great show, getting better every year . Keep it like that!!
13:03 I'd love to do that job that Lucinda Grossmith does! Helping the artists to feel less nervous and stressed would be easy for me to do, because I'm an empathetic person. 😍❤
Everyone was great on this show and everyone deserves such huge respect for having the power and courage to perform at the Esc 🥰🥰🥰
Although I will always prefer Loreen 🫶🏼she deserved this 🤍everyone was great
This looks amazing!
This was the best week of my life.. thank you to everyone at the bbc, ebu and Liverpool ❤
Awesome 2023❤
Loreen got 243 points from the public, but she lost the televote to Käärijä, who got 376 points. Yet at the end of the video they announce Loreen as the winner with 243 points as if Käärijä lost the public vote. Very weird choice as this is not what happened.
Åh vad spännande, längtar❤❤
After 8 months since Liverpool I have to say that the City got dressed with Eurovision best Costumes!!! All Fans travelled to host City enjoyed like ever. THANKS EUROVISION, THANKS LIVERPOOL ✨️🎼🎤
I love this! 😍
Please continue doing these documentaries, they can even be longer and show even more of the BTS! 😍😍
the BBC absoloutley smashed it this year... so proud, fingers crossed we can win soon ❤
this video made me love Azerbaijan's Eurovision song.
Amazing doco.
Can't wait for 2024 😢😢😢
Käärijä the people’s winner 💚💚💚
18:04 MOTHER MIMICAT....
Can we have her every year just being there supporting the artists?
The best Eurovision in history is Eurovision 2023
I cried like a baby.
Masterpiece.
Thank you! ❤
2:40 I was ready for her to say "make sure they are feeling good, looking good, being good".
Hahaha. More like "make sure that they are good, looking good, doing good".
Hope to show this year contest soon
0:29 I will pray that he is going to take part in AGT 19 next year!
I miss ESC 2023!!! 😥
Cîtă muncă este în spatele acestui Show Grandios , prefer să îl văd de acasă , decît să particip...😮
a great contest :)
MISS THIS
Thanks
Mimicats reactions I can't 😅😅
Given how fast the tickets sold out, i hope if the uk somehow wins ever again they will hold the contest at wembley stadium
The real winner is Käärijä 😓😓. I love him❤

Nane song?
All the results prepared for the ABBA's 50th anniversary
It’s not that deep
or perhaps it's just that the best song won?
Käärijä was my winner and tattoo was like my 12th or so in my top but gosh, if you can't accept the results (which aren't that goddamn deep) and have to come up with them CoNsPiRaCy ThEoRiEs even after almost 8 months, why are you even watching ESC honestly? There's so much to love about the Eurovision, the results aren't everything. Don't let that ruin your ESC experience.

22:35 favourite ❤️
*Marco was THE ONLY contestant who did not use any backup track, auto-tune, or playback on the stage, just beautiful raw vocals and emotions. THAT glissando at the end alone deserved the award! He's a real VOCALIST with such a mesmerizing voice.*
*Besides his fantastic voice, the lyrics are also amazing which were written by himself! Full of beautiful figures of speech.*
*He didn't win because he sang in Italian which is ironic because it's supposed to be the whole purpose, concept, and mission of Eurovision, for each culture to represent its own individual style and native language but the audience votes for catchy tunes, and entertaining acts rather than real talents.*
He didn’t win because he sang in Italian? Tell that to Maneskin only two years prior lmao
Dont agree with the language. Italy can be lucky that they have such a nice sounding language. That language alone makes so much of their songs great. I also learned and speak some italian and even as a german while speaking it, it is almost automatically that you speak it with a certain power and rhythm.. its just in the syntax.. Italian is almost like an advantage. And of course he can sing without help maybe because he was just standing around. So for me it is okay when a country takes some support while doing great stuff on the stage. (i liked marcos entry a lot ;)
Belgium didn't use playback either
Marco was one of my favorites this year - great song, and he was amazing on the night - but Italy have won three times singing in Italian, and in addition to that have had eight Top 3 results in Italian (if you count 'Madness Of Love'). I think Eurovision voters are fine with Italian.
@@endermasa9451 Due Vite is a stunning ballad. Maneskin is a rock band, they put on an electric show but when it comes to vocals, Marco is absolutely untouchable. His voice is divine.

This is definitely not a competition, because all of the artists make themselves known at these shows, and sometimes a song turns into a fan-idol relationship that can last for months, even if it doesn't win. I will love the woman of 16:10 and 22:10 for a long long time 😍🥰, she's just very human with her fans, takes care of them and she has an amazing and funny personality. I can't wait to see her on the Tour!! ALESSANDRA MELE, YOU'LL HOLD A SPECIAL PLACE IN MY HEART, EVEN IF EVERYBODY FORGETS ABOUT YOU AND THE SONG WITH THE PASS OF TIME, BECAUSE YOU DID THIS WITH IT: 💔-->❤🩹-->❤-->💖. THANK YOU🥺🙏💝
Never forget 💜
