at least they aren't trying to do it with batteries. This system actually is one of the more logical electric solutions. Add over head power to all the highways and you might have a deal that would work.
@@DaveVargas90012 Depends, it's based on a zone system. For adults it's over $3 (depends if you pay in cash or use a Clipper card) to travel within one zone, but to go from SF to San Jose it costs over $12 one way. They recently changed it for kids, $1 no zone restriction
Another tiny part of America has joined the 21st century! I think it's cause for celebration personally. People are finally starting to realize that traffic sucks in cities and it won't get better by paving over more of them.
@@JoseOlalde Exactly, I have seen them kick people out with no fare at the next stop way too many times😂 And for those that refused to exit, we had to wait for the Sheriff to come get them off the train. Caltrain is nothing like BART.
The electric trains are so much quieter, they have WiFi, and the expanded schedule is great too.
I wouldn’t use that wifi if I were them..

I really like their push to do $1 youth fares, give people more of a reason to ride it.
What is base fare?

Time for other commuter rail networks (Metrolink, Coaster, Amtrak California, etc.) to get their own CalTrain-style electrification.

Fast acceleration. Smooth ride.
Train is fire. I just hate the new bell, I wish they kept a regular grahm e-ball instead
