I'm just gonna say you did good Ian. The entire event was _very well_ put together (and it was your first ever which is even crazier) and had some insane/hilarious names on the card and everyone obviously took it seriously. This is what influencer boxing should be like, goofy shit with fun people in a serious enough package. Huge props to you guys organizing it and everyone who volunteered and gave it their best. Hopefully we'll see more!

As someone who boxes and also learned how to respect the sport by experiencing it, I really appreciate how serious it sounds like your taking it. I have a lot of friends who don’t respect the sport and they’ll ask me to spar and shit because they think they’re just like that, boxing and any type of fighting in general is dangerous asf and a lot of young people don’t understand how fragile our brains really are. Whenever I get asked to spar I tend to reject them, telling them it wouldn't be fair and a comparison would be "would you challenge a ballet dancer to a ballet?" No, why? Because you understand that you wouldn't know where what you're doing and obviously the dancer would win, how is it different for boxing or mma?"
Fighting sucks and if I get injured "sparring"(let's face it, normies can't differentiate between sparring or fighting) I won't be able to train as hard in the gym.
Im someone who trains in boxing too. Im not a gatekeeper but influencers are ruining boxing.

I didn't know this was happening and was confused why I was seeing clips floating around on RUclips. I'm a boxing fan and seeing how this event was treated and how the fighters matches played out made me super impressed. I saw nothing but respect and heart. good job to everyone involved!

Rewatching this after having just got back from the event. The whole thing was nothing but respectful and wholesome. Not an ounce of beef between any of the competitors. It was so wholesome, it was almost nauseating. Two of the competitors hugged each other like fifteen times after their fight, and I shouted "Get a room!". Lol.

The knockout definitely doesn’t matter. One of my favorite matches was Ryan’s fight against Alex Ernst after Matt got TKO’ed in 23 seconds. It was the best underdog match and Ryan stayed up the whole time to avenge his best friend even with a broken nose.
The fact this is all benefiting charity is really great. It's going to be super fun, can't wait!

As someone who has done boxing for a good 15 years, it is really nice to see influencers approach the sport with the respect and class that is associated with a combat sport that can lead to quite severe injuries when not taken seriously. I mean, it's so nice to hear someone say that a knockout is not mandatory, the sport does not require someone being pummeled so hard they lose consciousness to be entertaining, nor does a boxer need to lay someone out to be considered "good"

My favorite part of the whole thing was that no one took THEMSELVES too seriously, but still took the actual fight as seriously as possible. It's awesome that everyone was able to have a sense of humor about the whole thing and joke with their opponents before the fight but then when it came down to it no one was pulling their punches.

It took me 2(1989-1991 training 1991-1995 fighting career) years of intense training to transition from boxing to Muay Thai that I'm capable and confident enough to intelligently defend my self. I would never enter a ring with only weeks of training because I respect how dangerous the sport is. but hey i'm just an old guy with minor CTE so what do i know right? it's just my opinion. Totally agree with the mystery thing. Like I don't even care about boxing in particular, but watching what are essentially 'comedians' fighting each other... While also having comedians like Charlie commentating, was pretty amazing imo. Sweet Anita vs Jenna Meowri would be an interesting match. Though I can think of dozens of other fights that could also be funny, but like, also kinda serious. That's the fun part though, because you don't know what you're gonna get. I definitely didn't expect the first fight to end so quickly and dramatically lol.
