  • This is my experience using TORX racing tune for my stock 2021 Seadoo GTX230. This tune was suppose to give me higher RPM is all, from 8000 stock to 8500. Now I can not even tune it without having software written for the tuner.

So very interesting how the owner of Torx racing has had this video removed from the Facebook groups he owns or admins. Guess he doesn’t want people to know the truth!

All that for 3 mph. Tye slightest chance that can happen, I would NEVER! Thanks for the heads up;)

People spend a lot of money to go faster. I figure a little better than stock tune.. not willing to risk the reliability of doing the stage kits etc.. constant maintenance at that point. But I do love to enhance and mod… but they really screwed mine up! Hoping race labs can fix it

Sad story, was the original tune HPT? For canned tunes I've had good luck with Maptun, for heavy mod's not so much. Whatever way you go I'm sure you will have to do a slight reptich of the impeller to get the rpm up. The soft rev limit strategy will hold the motor back from getting to the new hard rev limit.

@@daleblock3974 I just replaced the impeller to a Solas 14/19 and a 159 wear ring. I’m getting 8300 rpm now and much better take off, I can hit a solid 67mph still, sometimes 68, but the money for the tune was definitely not justified for 2 mph

@@Offroadfam You could have re pitched the stock impeller, it's not hard to do. It is always far more expensive to modify when you can start with bigger power. Spending the same amount you did starting with a 300 or 325 would be running 78-80mph. You are 100% correct the cost is not justified for 2mph.

@@daleblock3974 I was going to just re pitch, but the excuse I was getting from the tune place racelab said the problem with this ski gtx230 was the 161mm and needs a 159, so after the switch I got “well I guess that’s about max” which I could have probably gotten the same speed without a tune and just repitch.
