There is a fix for the Intratec Tec 22 that is a few simple mods and it completely fixes it. MRGNG has been doing this long enough he should know about it. I remember the fix from back in the early 90s myself. His pal H/O is a tool and hasn't been doing this very long as he proclaims to have been. I can always see right through it and him so he can't BS me about his credentials.

Having worked at a small gun store that deals in used firearms, I will say those Taurus PT-22 pistols actually work much better if you replace the firing pin with a higher quality aftermarket version. Also, I bought one of those Intratec Tek-22 pistols for $200 bucks several years ago and it has been one of the worst guns I've ever owned. I knew it was trash when I bought it, but it did come with several magazines and a bunch of ammo, so that made me feel slightly better.

I have both two of the Beretta 950BS Jetfires in .25 ACP and five of the Beretta 21A Bobcats in .22LR. They aren't "junk" or "dumb guns" at all and work perfectly. While the Taurus isn't the quality of the Berettas it still is a knockoff copy of a pistol that works. Nothing to make fun of or bag on here.

Remington Golden Bullets and CCI Mini-Mags work in almost any semi-auto .22 you put them in. They make temperamental guns run flawless in my experience. I have never had any issues with my Beretta 21A Bobcats feeding or working as long as you don't try to run truncation cone ammo like the old Spitfires or Yellow Jackets. Those will jam up most semi-autos and are best left to bolt action, lever action, pump action and revolvers.
Not sure what these guys are doing or complaining about in this video. As you can see from many of us who own the Taurus version and I with my Berettas they don't know what they are talking about. These pistols are generally more reliable than much of the modern crap people fawn over today like the Ruger SR22, Ruger LCP II .22, Sig P-322 and Taurus TX22.

Hers ran so well and so accurate that I bought one too for a range toy to play with... if you want something like that which will actually work, pay the money and get the real thing. Oddly enough, like Mrgunsngear's father-in-law, I also have the Taurus .25 version and it works just fine, it's just ginormous compared to its round - another range toy purchased only because I didn't pay much for it. I've never shot a PT22 but it looks to be designed after the Beretta 21a, and if so it does not have an extractor. That is why you could not remove a round from the chamber by racking the slide. It just relies on chamber pressure to push the cartridge against the breach face until it can eject.

Intratec is the same company that made the Intratec Tec-9 DC-9 and AB-10. It was partially owned by now Kel-Tec owner and engineer George Kellgren

The Tec-22 uses Ruger 10-22 magazines. Get some good quality extended Ruger magazines ( I like Butler Creek ). In the video the magazine was not properly seated, it feels like it is locked in but the nub on the front of the magazine is not locked into the hole in the gun's magazine well. The bottom of the bolt is pushing down on the magazine and not allowing it to lock in. Hold the gun with your left hand and use two fingers to hold the bolt tabs back so that the bolt is to the rear while you insert the magazine.
You can safely experiment with how the magazine locks into place, open the top cover and remove the bolt, with the cover open insert and remove the magazine to see how it locks in and lines up when there is no pressure from the bolt. It took me years before I stumbled onto the magazine not being in the correct position.
Also put some lube on the top of the bolt, because it slides against the top cover.

I have a altor. You can get a 380 barrel for that altor. For like 40 bucks. That would help with the recoil. Also you can get a 6 inch barrel for the 9mm as well.

It’s always functioned well and hasn’t given me any problems/issues. Just sayin’

I had a t22 that ran and fed well. Remember it was originally designed as a open bolt FA .22 and converted. T9 is in the same boat. Without all the silly laws we have more ppl would have t .22s and t9s fa.

Interesting all the problems with the Taurus PT-22. I have one of the older models that is sort of gold colored and has wood grips and for the most part it functions just fine no matter what cheap ammo I feed it. Maybe I just got lucky?

They are knockoff copies of Beretta 21A Bobcats in .22LR which I own 5 of them and two 950BS Jetfires in .25 ACP. They all work well and are pretty accurate little pocket pistols. Nothing to laugh at or bag on here.....
