  • Found a video I started in the spring and never finished!!! 1963 International 560 on a 14’ Degelman Rock Rake and the Case 2090 on the Degelman Super Picker 2

    Every spring of my teenage years on a Case 700 with an identical Degelman rake and picker - N of Estevan.

    Seagulls are like any bird: If they see an opportunity to pick an area over for recently exposed bugs, they will do so. They're not too picky, they'll eat anything they can, including any upturned plant matter they can digest. They must want the variety in their diet, if you watch closely without disturbing them you might even see what they pick up.

    great video Robbie of the old stuff still working. When I was a young lad back in the 50's we were the stone pickers using a tractor pulling a sheet of steel to carry the rocks
    and then hand bombing them off and back for another load.

    We used a Degelman rock rake when I was a teenager. Works good until you take out the back window of the 4430. Dad wasn't to pleased with my sister that day. We did acres with it.

      Yeah I bet! A stone come flying up and hit the platform next to my foot and really scared me. Stopped and looked to see what blew up and found the rock. Was relieved it was only a rock

      My dad was friend with the Degelmans and we sold them hay for the dairy at Vibank back in the 70s. We farm north of the Weyburn Airport

    Cool beans.....I’ve always wanted to se3 one of those rock rakes work. I think I will show this to my boss and see if we can build something like it. I’m not getting any younger and pickin rocks sometimes is very time consuming. Thank you for sharing and best wishes to you and all my farmin brothers in the great white north ✌🏼brother.

      Thanks for watching bud! There’s really nothing to it... a tube with flat bar welded to it to make the kickers- then hard surface weld on the tips. Pto gearbox and a hydraulic cylinder. Guy could make it hydraulic drive pretty easy I bet

    We rented a haybuster rock picker one summer. Somewhat the same concept but it raked and picked at the same time. No matter how cool it looked, the job itself sucked ass after the first couple hours!!
