- Dale heads back into Lincolnshire and to the market town of Boston. This was a really strange day overall, where I visited some fantastic pubs and met some great people... but by the end, I left the town feeling a little deflated... see for yourself why...
The jury reached unanimous verdicts. Iliev was remanded into custody to be sentenced on 30 August.
Tsoneva was released on bail and is due to be sentenced on the same date.
Murder conviction: A man who dealt a “fierce” blow to the head of a Boston bar tender has today (30 July) been found guilty of his murder.
Maksim Iliev, 36, had been in an altercation with his partner moments before the attack, which he carried out with a baseball bat pulled from the hands of his victim, 35-year-old Adrian Whiting.
Iliev, of Union Street in Boston, told Lincoln Crown Court he was acting in self-defence. But the jury, on hearing the evidence and viewing CCTV which showed him carry out the fatal blow, rejected that claim.
Iliev’s partner Katya Tsoneva, 32, was also convicted of assisting an offender after the jury heard how she had returned to their home address that night to retrieve items including jewellery, which was pawned to buy flight tickets to assist Iliev in leaving the UK. Tsoneva, of Red Lion Street, Boston, had pleaded not guilty.

I visited Boston last month for the first time, what a beautiful market town. I was shocked how many Asians and Romanians were there though. Very few English in the town centre and the people I thought were English turned out to be Polish. It was in the daytime during the week so maybe all the English were at work, the Romanians certainly weren't at work.
A jury has found a man guilty of m….r after he struck a pub manager with a baseball bat.
Maksim Iliev, 36, of Union Street, Boston, attacked Adrian Whiting, 35, outside the Carpenters Arms in the town on 14 January, a trial at Lincoln Crown Court heard.
The jury also found Katya Tsoneva, 34, of Red Lion Street, Boston, guilty of assisting an offender between 13 and 25 January this year.
The sentence of a man found guilty of murdering Boston pub manager Adrian Whiting was today (Friday 30/08/24) adjourned for two months by a judge.
Maskim Iliev, 36, of Union Street, Boston, was due to be sentenced at Lincoln Crown Court after a jury found him guilty of murder following a two week trial in July.

"Adrian Whiting, 35, died in hospital two weeks after the incident at the Carpenters Arms in Witham Street, Boston on 14 January." He was battered to death and the assailant fled the country with aid of his girlfriend, Katya Tsoneva from Ukraine.

He didn’t get away. He has been found guilty and is due to be sentenced on 30 August as is his girlfriend.
So this isnt Boston Massachusetts. Its in England. I wish we had a state in the USA that was just like a UK city, which are much more fun.
He wasn’t killed tho was he ? No like most in Boston as the STATS say and they don’t lie he was beaten to death by let’s say a person that wasn’t born in England.
