I have some sad news to report about Tom Ritman the contestant. After doing some research for an update on what his life is like now, I'm fairly certain I found his obit. Sadly he passed away back on April 7 1998 just three days after his 50th birthday. He was born on April 4 1948. It mentioned he lived in Las Vegas, and he was a stagehand, and a member of the Stagehands Union. He was originally from Stockton, California. And he never married. I'm guessing he was 28, 29 in 1976 at the time of this taping. And on that question about Dracula. I thought of a totally different answer. Instead of taking a coffee break, he takes a coffin break. Coffin/Coffee? Little play on words. 🤣🤣
Maybe a confirmed bachelor. The way he wiggled his eyebrows after stating he was single may have indicated he was a swinging bachelor. You know California is chock full of hottubs.
@@kristabrewer6736it's hard to disagree with the question has Brett ever just answered without saying a word. The short answer is no she's never just answered the question. No need to jump on your broom and start defending her, she's a motormouth. Simple.
Gene Rayburn Has always been the best dressed MC and the best dressed man in Hollywood! Always has been and always will be. And Charles looks so excellent and classy also in the suit.
All young brides call their mother. You would think your marriage was in trouble, if she called her lawyer. The audience wasn't very bright, booing that answer.
Curiosity killed the cat. I had to look up crumpets. They're what we call English muffins. Delicious split, toasted, buttered and slathered with honey, or jam. Mmmmmm!
@@pencils812 When the question has no really good answer, anything can end up being #1. I'm not suspicious of this one. I think a lot of people knew the combo from stereotypes of English afternoon tea, and from Alice in Wonderland.

Well, I'm sorry to hear about Tom. 50 is too young to go. i thought the same thing you did...a coffin break.
Jo Ann Pflug was gorgeous in this episode.
unbelievably so...
Charles looks great!
Thanks for posting!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
This may have been one of the first if not the first episodes of this edition of Match Game I ever watched.
What in the world did Joann see in Chuck Woolery?😮
i thought the waitress answer would be a check or a bill
charles looking great here lol
Fannie looks like Ronald MacDonald lol
In the episode where Patti Deutchse has her son on set, he wore a Ronald McDonald shirt.
She sure does.. my first thought when they introduced the celebs b4 Gene comes out. She even has the red hair.
Tom sure was handsome ! Can't imagine why he was single. Fun episode!! I love Avery's laugh!

Enjoy the single life while you can. Couple up when/if you find the right person.
He may have been gay .
Has Brett ever just answered without saying a word? I DON’T THINK SO!!!!
NO! and she has to have just about every question reread to her.
That's why 95% of the people love here (I don't WHY you people find it so hard to read these comments)

BRETT ADDS A HELL OF LOT OF THE ENTERTAINMENT VALUE HERE.
STOP HATING
@@vivianhamilton616 yep!!! she needed a muzzle and a hearing aid.
Susan was the champ in MG PM#31. How come she didn't go on to this one?
Wallace Callow contestants on pm are only on for one show.
My wife the waitress is a waitress 24 hrs a day. Last night in bed she gave me a bill
that's a good one, but I loved Charles answer...she had a headache, so she gave him a SHORT order...lol
She gave him a cup of coffee! ☕
A bill of fare?
If the husband was really good he may have gotten a tip.
"At the plasma cooler they take blood breaks." Underrated joke.
Lol!
Gene went all-in on the Just for Men hair coloring.
2nd round questions were were totally unfair.
The blood break question was a shoe-in.
Gene Rayburn Has always been the best dressed MC and the best dressed man in Hollywood! Always has been and always will be. And Charles looks so excellent and classy also in the suit.
Steve Harvey is the new BEST DRESSED !
with a doubt !!!
The waitress gave him a bill.

Yeah, "lawyer" or "ex" was the definitive answer.

Has anyone seen the episode that Betty is talking about at the end of the video at 2:50?

Go hatch an Egg Roll!
Perhaps the reason Richard chuckles at 17:44 is that "crumpet" is English slang for a good-looking woman.
Ok, so this another reason I think there was some staging here. Does it seem likely that a majority of the audience would say Tea and Crumpets?

omg, why didn't someone put a muzzle on Brett?
AZ CHARLES NELSON RILEY WOULD SAY:
🗣️ Yo GENE,
HOW COULD YA 4'GET THE (Doritos) MAN
[ AVERY SCHREIBER ] 👈🏼 .....
Questions should be in the same degree of difficulty. One has many options while the other has a specific answer. Dumb writers.
Dumb answers, waitresses don't give tips, they get tips!
Dog wag I was thinking maybe that she was giving him TIPS to spruce up their sex life. 🤣🤣🤔🤔
Richard got it right!
He dint say fannie's name either
shortened my TOES
last night she gave me a ... FREE ROLL
Van Dyke! ;0) Too soon? ;0)
Tom was not so lucky in the 2nd round, which allowed Stacy to come back, and then win $11,000.
Hate that new music.
