Retsu in his Isekai world: "Katsumi I left you that to defend yourself, not that!!" Elf bitch: "This Katsumi girl must have been important to you." Retsu: "IT'S A HE AND WHEN I GET BACK THERE I'M KICKING HIS ASS!"
@@benstanton3424 umm i dont think so, there are very few rematches in the Baki series, sukune got trashed pretty hard and accepted his loss, so i don't think we will ever see a rematch of him and yuujiro, but we will probably see sukune fight again in the future.
Katsumi had no choice either he kills the guy to win because he is too tough to defeat without killing him. He chose not to kill him why kill such an amazing fighter that tapped his karate and kung fu potential so well.
*Character arc 101* If this was the beginning of the Maximum Tournament, Katsumi would've taken the kick and killed the sumo guy. His willingness to maybe one day fight him again is a symbolism of his growth as a fighter, as he doesn't see it as a means to victory, but as a way of living.
Other possibility is since Katsumi has Retsu's arm. He could have start feeling his presence and start to remember his moves (he trained a lot with him). Katsumi has the same imaginary ability that Baki ha, to be able to modify or improve his physical abilities. Maybe after the implantation, he started to remember subconsciously the Kung-fu of Retsu
Katsumi is like if Baki was actually an interesting character. Like Katsumi has the young and spry cockiness to him while still developing as a character and Baki kinda just stays plain. Like he has some wisdom but he’s so boring for a main character.
So, Katsumi just gave the victory over the sumo wrestler because he didn't want to kill him? You can't tell me that Katsumi didn't know any move that could have ended the match without killing him, he's a black belt, he's supposed to have mastered almost all techniques from his stile... Oh well, maybe he just wanted to not let sumo lose all the matches
I imagine that he realized he was doing a move that would kill him as he was doing it, and Retsu stopped him. Perhaps deciding that he's had enough, he walks out.
He woulda killed him. Considering his level now , his most powerful attack is definitely deadly AF He is also a disciple pretty much of Retsu. That’s his personal character growth
I think your forgetting the point of Baki. Winning and losing rarely matters to them, only the fight and improving their skills. That's why they can have stable relationships with people who repeatedly try to kill each other.
Retsu in the afterlife: man it pretty chill here-WTF DID MY RIGHT HAND JUST GRAB

Katsumi is now my favorite character, he is like Retsu 2.0 now
Katsumi has matured so much from when he was introduced into the series! 👊👍🙂
ye he probably made the biggest character growth\change, maybe except for Baki, and maybe more than Baki.

Katsumi could have won this match almost at the beginning
However he wanted his enemy to hold on longer cause he wanted to fight him with all he have

0:18 Gosh I never thought about it that way.
The little heart at the end lol. Big huh ❤️
Imagine if that hand instead of retsu its hanayamas hand, literally turned his balls into diamonds
Turn his grapes into whine real quick
Katsumi is friggen awesome. He's a kung-fu movie in the form of a human being.
3:21 new way to execute someone
Imagine that
Seems Katsumi has the best/most growth in fightsbother than baki Ofcourse. And entertaining af too
Kinda wish he was the main character of his own series.
@@thequestion174 read garouden, its literally katsumi as the main character. and its like a clone of baki(maybe even better if it had more chapters)
Katsumi: Sorry i made you do that Retsu Chan
Retsu: Baka!

Katsumi reminds me of Shokei Matsui when he was younger.
sundome move?
intentional stopping a blow or kick short for impact, normally just used in training but can bring your opposite left pretty shocked and confused.

I think he didn't care about winning or losing. He just want to have his fill with Grand Sumo and he already had enough.

I mean Katsumi already basically won the match since he knocked him out. The fight should’ve gone to him even if he did wake up the sumo.
