When you listen to bands like Buck-tick, Luna sea, Dead end, Mucc and others in the 90s and in early 2000, music has depth, to me it was the real visual kei, and now, that visual kei here has like no soul and all is a repeat thing, that's why i say that it's commercial and unoriginal.
what about The GazettE? they've been releasing songs everywhere with some different music genre influences, like in BEAUTIFUL DEFORMITY and TOXIC it's a bit on the electro/dubstep side. While with DOGMA and UGLY you can clearly hear heavy rock/metal. DIM is a bit more on the hip hop(very little presence but you can still hear it)/rock/ballad side. In their very early stage they were metal and rock, every now and then they release ballads. The GazettE is a very versatile band if you consider some of these points.
+Sam Wolf oh don't worry about it i know! in fact the GazettE is my favorite band, i find that they always make amazing tracks, always try new things from the beginning, and aren't anymore really a visual kei band because they have a real own identity now to me, as Dir en grey too, and i'm really disappointed by the current visual kei bands, i find some good tracks sometimes but they almost all have no identity, the same thing everywhere, and vk is what i love the most so i'm annoyed by that. But with Gazette it's okay they are amazing
