    I want to buy one for each of my 4 aquariums but I am afraid of salts build up in front of the sensors. We have very hard water where I live. What is your experience with salts build up in front of that transparent plastic sensor cover?

      @JayRockDoesStuff  Год назад +3

      i personally have never had an issue with salt blocking the sensor ive never had any buildup on the unit itself at all. i guess its possible in theory ive never seen or herd of it happening before but really if it was an issue you could keep a lil cup and toothbrush of vinegar next to it and brush it down once a month or something.. i dont think your gonna have an issue with salts and the sensor. i live in Colorado we have hard water too

      @@JayRockDoesStuff thank you for this. How many years did you have your sensors running by the way?

      @@ChristosChristos I actually have 2 AIOs from Fzone their first one the 360 it was green same set up and ive had that one for about a year now. This Blue one the 580 IVe had for less then a year But I do get hard water on the sides of my tanks and tops but never had an issue with the sensor. not even buildup on it. i cant even remember a time that ive had to clean them or anything . I use them on my aqua scaped tanks and it saves me a ton of time with filling and keeps the tanks full and looking great!
      Vinegar is awesome for the hard water buidup. but again i dont think youll have an issue with the AIO

      @@JayRockDoesStuff Really thank you for your replies :-) I have been using Eheim’s ultrasonic Waterrefill ones for my aquascaping tanks as well, but they tend to break after 2 years and replacing those is costly. They go for 150€+ each, while FZone ones are nearly half price. I will give FZone v2 a go. Again, thank you

      @@ChristosChristos hey NP glad to help! I do know the Fzone ones are warrantied up to a year by the company. so if you have any issues in the first year the company will replace it. so thats cool too! : good luck!

    I find a float switch works just fine.

    If for some reason u don't have electricity at home even for a few minutes, with the new ato 580P u need to reactivate it by pushing the button, while with the preview version it doesn't need.If you are to holiday in summer for a couple of week u will find your tank without water if u will have problem with electricity.I don't think is smart from the company that with an upgrade version they didn't think about it

      I’ve connected mine to an UPS. If there’s a blackout there won’t be any problems!

      @reina1525 Ok, but why? They implement something and u need an UPS...

    Your aquarium is immaculate! I thought about building one of these almost thirty years ago. But the technology wasn't there to make a cheap. 💯🫵✌️

      I have 13 tanks running currently. These devices are really handy in keeping the tanks filled. Here we have alot of evaporation so these work great for keeping the level of the tank up
