yaani i have been in darkness about financial literacy. Finding you in lynns channel is the best thing that has happened to me. Not me binge watching your channel with a notebook
This is a very great educational piece, I love it. I am in a Sacco that pays 13% interest PA on savings and 20% dividends on share capital PA. Both have a 5% WHT on the interest/dividends. The 5% WHT is a great motivator for me and that is why I use the Sacco as an investment vehicle for passive income alongside T-bill's and Bonds. The 13% interest on the savings beats majority of the MMFs all the time. The share capital is more like a retirement pension plan alongside infrastructure bonds that are tax exempt. Thanks for the work that you do - information is power.

Hello dear, today is my first day I've ever heard and learned about investing, from Lynn's RUclips, wah I've been in darkness of poverty not knowing where am heading to, thanks very much Susan even if am a class 8 dropout I ve been living hopelessly sinking in to poverty day by day as I grow old,but today you have opened my eyes with too much knowledge God bless you 🙏 I've been in chamas, circles but feared debts/loans coz I had nothing or noone could agree to be a garanter to me,I want to follow you for more lessons hopping this can change my life😢,one question for today if I have savings aren't they enough for the cycle to give me loan without garanters or any accets🤔
Never forget this: If you have internet and use it to gain knowledge, then you are way ahead of many people. I have multiple degrees and I was bad at managing my finances. I started with educating myself and the internet has been my help. Does having a finance degree help? Yeah but good money management is more discipline than knowledge. Of course with knowledge and discipline you'll be unstoppable! You got this 💪🏾.
Totally agree Susan. Saccos are so crucial and worth investing in them especially while taking loans. I have brilliantly used saccos to take loans which I self guarantee and I just heard you talk about dividends, the money is so good if one has invested large sums of money. I love saccos. Great info. Can you do another detailed video on Treasury bills and Bonds?
Would you mind sharing the name of your sacco with me? Could you please explain how you self-guarantee? Once you have completed the repayment process, can you get out of it? I read somewhere that if you wish to leave a sacco, you must sell your own shares the sacco won't give you your money unless you sell your shares. Is this true?Selling your shares seems almost impossible to me
I thank God for you Susan. I thought I knew much about Saccos but this is a great eye opener. Thanks to Lynn's show that made me know this great financial coach. Keep soaring
That is so true, I look at it wholesomely. T-Bills pay 16% interest and 15% WHT. Sometimes you can get more from a Sacco when you factor in the WHT is low.
Hello Susan! 🌞 Your video was incredibly informative, and I’ve been following your content after discovering it through Lynn Ngungi’s interview. If only I had encountered your wisdom earlier-it might have transformed my life! Currently, I’m taking small steps in the world of finance, hoping to blossom into something greater. 🌱💰 Keep up the fantastic work! 🙌
Why do people forget the part of Sacco shares?some Saccos offer as high as 18% for dividend.nowadays you can even top up your shares.stop focusing on deposits alone especially if you’re not interested in a loan in the near future.
Personally I do shares....just like any other person who could do rentals. I am getting good monies....it's a good investment. I am not interested in loans so much.
Am just about to join a Sacco and I believe this is what I needed to hear next time please talk about things we need to know about money market fund your content has so much impact in my financial life. Thanks so much Susan
Please tells us how we people in the diaspora can invest in these MMF and Tbills, what's our best options? I noticed CBK has set a very high limit ie $200,000 for diasporas to invest, please enlighten us. Thanks, and you're amazing full of great info that people pay a lot to get access to.
The minimum amount needed for investment in T-bills and bonds is 50K and multiples of 50K. For infrastructure binds the minimum is 100K with multiples of 50K. Not sure where you got the USD 200K from.
As much as it's more of an advantage to go for the deposit options,Share capital has high returns than normal deposits. I.e a Sacco with rebates (from deposits) of averagely 10-13% has divided of 20%(from share capital)
Very educative indeed thank you for your good work. I have learned alot. My question was apart from acquiring loans against your deposits can one acquire a loan as a share holder?
Thank you Susan.. I love your wonderful insights in this Sacco vlog. I have clearly understood how the 2 accounts work. You are truly a powerhouse in what you are doing. Keep up the good work. You have earned a subscription from me 😊
Thank you for this lesson coach. I just have a few questions. Do deposit account earn you some interest before you request for a loan. Also do guarantee s deposits determine if the sacco is going to give you a loan (even the amount of loan your requested)
@@susan.wanjiku_ thanks for your reply so i have read some financial books and most talk about how one can take advantageof some tax deduction offered by governments but i don't understand if is applicable in kenya thats y i was hoping you could explain it if its possible

Only join a sacco you will have access to guarantors easily
Why do saccos put a limit to the number of shares you should own but at the same time encourage you to put more than the setup limit?
watching this when am about to exit one of my sacco and just learnt about share capital thats another headache
Get someone in the Sacco and transfer your shares to them
