yaani i have been in darkness about financial literacy. Finding you in lynns channel is the best thing that has happened to me. Not me binge watching your channel with a notebook
Hello dear, today is my first day I've ever heard and learned about investing, from Lynn's RUclips, wah I've been in darkness of poverty not knowing where am heading to, thanks very much Susan even if am a class 8 dropout I ve been living hopelessly sinking in to poverty day by day as I grow old,but today you have opened my eyes with too much knowledge God bless you 🙏 I've been in chamas, circles but feared debts/loans coz I had nothing or noone could agree to be a garanter to me,I want to follow you for more lessons hopping this can change my life😢,one question for today if I have savings aren't they enough for the cycle to give me loan without garanters or any accets🤔
Never forget this: If you have internet and use it to gain knowledge, then you are way ahead of many people. I have multiple degrees and I was bad at managing my finances. I started with educating myself and the internet has been my help. Does having a finance degree help? Yeah but good money management is more discipline than knowledge. Of course with knowledge and discipline you'll be unstoppable!
You got this 💪🏾.
This is a very great educational piece, I love it.
I am in a Sacco that pays 13% interest PA on savings and 20% dividends on share capital PA. Both have a 5% WHT on the interest/dividends.
The 5% WHT is a great motivator for me and that is why I use the Sacco as an investment vehicle for passive income alongside T-bill's and Bonds.
The 13% interest on the savings beats majority of the MMFs all the time. The share capital is more like a retirement pension plan alongside infrastructure bonds that are tax exempt.
Thanks for the work that you do - information is power.
Hello, kindly share the name of the Sacco.

Thanks so much for this information, kindly talk about the process of buying Tbills and bonds for a starter...
Very informative.
I Thank God for knowing you when I needed you most..Thanks Lynn Ngugi kama sio wewe mayb I coudnt have known her❤❤❤
Totally agree Susan. Saccos are so crucial and worth investing in them especially while taking loans. I have brilliantly used saccos to take loans which I self guarantee and I just heard you talk about dividends, the money is so good if one has invested large sums of money. I love saccos. Great info. Can you do another detailed video on Treasury bills and Bonds?
Would you mind sharing the name of your sacco with me? Could you please explain how you self-guarantee?
Once you have completed the repayment process, can you get out of it?
I read somewhere that if you wish to leave a sacco, you must sell your own shares the sacco won't give you your money unless you sell your shares. Is this true?Selling your shares seems almost impossible to me
@@Agile2605 Kenya police Sacco. There are so many good saccos. Waumini Sacco, Safaricom Sacco. Visit then and check them out.
Wow so informative....thankyou coach for this😊
Need to invest in Treasury bills but don know where to start
Thanks for today's class really insightful... kindly Susan can you do a video on creating a CDS account and choosing best CDAs?
+1
With SACCOs the withholding tax is 5% as compared to other investments where the tax is as high as 15%
That is so true, I look at it wholesomely. T-Bills pay 16% interest and 15% WHT. Sometimes you can get more from a Sacco when you factor in the WHT is low.
@@dmwas.I thought wht is uniform as per the law that's 15%
I think as per the law it's 15%
@@mashverm4680for dividend income the WHT is 5%
Thanks Susan i leaned about you in Lynn RUclips
Woow... thanks....
Good education
Thanks Lynn ngugi for introducing me to this lovely financial mind

Thanks name sake
Kindly guide Us on other best avenues to safe money
Finally I understand which is which..
congratulation coach wetu tumepita 100k
Why do people forget the part of Sacco shares?some Saccos offer as high as 18% for dividend.nowadays you can even top up your shares.stop focusing on deposits alone especially if you’re not interested in a loan in the near future.
18%? kama gani?
Yes share capital earns more.
Kimisitu paid at 15% Last year for shares and 9% for deposits.
18% ? 🙄
Ollin Sacco share capital was 17.%, savings 12.% last year
Personally I do shares....just like any other person who could do rentals. I am getting good monies....it's a good investment. I am not interested in loans so much.
Very nice
Super -Enrinching
Am just about to join a Sacco and I believe this is what I needed to hear next time please talk about things we need to know about money market fund your content has so much impact in my financial life. Thanks so much Susan
She has video on MMFs. You can also check Rina Hicks on MMF.
Great information, Kindly advise me on the best Sacco I can invest in .
My friday finance date on a beautiful sunday
Could you do a video about REITS as a form of investment
would one rather have a life assurance policy or invest in the money market
Thank you for this lesson coach. I just have a few questions. Do deposit account earn you some interest before you request for a loan. Also do guarantee s deposits determine if the sacco is going to give you a loan (even the amount of loan your requested)
Thanks for the information, now my question is, how would you advise, to save his money, for a person staying overseas??
Hi Coach Susan. Kindly could you talk about REITS as an investment.
Thank you.
How do we beat inflation? And what is the normal return on investment on any given investment?
Thanks Susan I need you help me but infrastructural bonds that are tax free please I don't know
Here, saving with stimma Sacco
But i also think you can get a loan as well from share capital
Which sacco can one self guarantee ?
I love financial literacy and one day my dream is to meet you. And ask more questions about investments
Hi Susan, coulld you please make a video on REITS,is (VUKA) a good one?
Yes please. We will highly appreciate.
Insightful
Please tells us how we people in the diaspora can invest in these MMF and Tbills, what's our best options? I noticed CBK has set a very high limit ie $200,000 for diasporas to invest, please enlighten us. Thanks, and you're amazing full of great info that people pay a lot to get access to.
The minimum amount needed for investment in T-bills and bonds is 50K and multiples of 50K. For infrastructure binds the minimum is 100K with multiples of 50K. Not sure where you got the USD 200K from.
Thanks for this now Mine I have deposits. Please do I have to open another account for share capital or how does. It go please?
Wow my to take home.
Share capital and Deposits.
Most of us do not know this.
Thankyou for the great piece
What about prime account
Came here from Lnn coz I wanted to learn
Precise 🙏🏿
My sacco uses deposits to give dividends and loans, share Capital only remains constant
Kindly help me how I can join money market fund i want to start saving there
Can I use a bond to pay my sacco loan?????
Do you mind giving a list of some of the best performing Saccos in Kenya?
I don't think she can, may be privately, all saccos are good so long as its registered with SASRA the body that regulates sacco.
Hazina Sacco is good. Also check legit saccos registered by SASRA.
I also Inquiring on the best performing Saccos
Hello, Do you earn divindeds from deposit account in the sacco? or only on the share capital?
If my share capital account has 100K and the min share amount is 30K ,do I get back the 70K back the sell the 30K worth the min share of a sacco
watching this when am about to exit one of my sacco and just learnt about share capital thats another headache
Get someone in the Sacco and transfer your shares to them
Why do saccos put a limit to the number of shares you should own but at the same time encourage you to put more than the setup limit?
Is buying shares in sacco optional? What if I just want the credit facility only and not buy their shares?
Shares is a must. However, you just buy the minimum Shares that a sacco offers.
Hallo Susan, I would like to save for a project in the next 5 years. I have been saving in a Sacco but of course that's about to change. Kindly advice any other investment vehicle I can use.
Infrastructure bonds, mmf, tbills.
I feel a little confused here... don't saccos have things like REID and shares, which by the offer some of the best percentage returns?
I'm planning to join a sacco and it's not to get a loan coz I'm not planning to save with the sacco but to invest in it. Are you saying I'm about to commit a mistake?
@morrisonrhill2237 what?
Which is the best convenient Sacco for a new member to jion
Asking the same am interested
Only join a sacco you will have access to guarantors easily
Hi, please make your videos more audible
Does the deposit account offer dividends as well or it's only the share capital that offers dividends ?
The deposits earn Interest while the share capital earns dividends
For some saccos it does
The presenter does not seem to know the difference between FOSA and BOSA saccos as to how they are licensed more so BOSA Sacco.
Seems her exposure is limited to FOSA Saccos
