My understanding is that native spanish tends to be a faster language than most, so that one wasn't such a surprise. The cell phone I also experienced last year in Germany, it seemed straight forward, but wasn't as intuitive as it seemed at first. Continued good luck!
Going through the process of getting the SIM card was worth it, and easier than I expected it to be. It offered much better coverage than the eSIM I got originally.
