I'm new to your channel. I served in a Bible camp in the summer of 2022 on the Kenai Peninsula. It was very rewarding and humbling. I miss the children campers and staff. It was hard to leave and return to the lower 48. I fell in love with Alaska. Originally, I asked the Lord, I want to be a Bible counselor but not in Virginia. I asked Him to open the door I would step through. He did. And in less than a month I was on an airplane to Alaska! ✝️🙏❤️
Awesome praise the Lord. We serve up north east of Palmer. We really enjoy seeing the lord work through all the summer staffer we have come through as well.
Yup just checking back into RUclips. This was filmed in May. The sabbatical was an amazing time as a family. More of that to come. Just trying to get caught up on the footage from this summer. Should be able to get back to the cabin on snow machines in about a month.
❤Way, way, way back in the days of my childhood, I went to a place called Victory Bible Camp. Can't remember exactly where it was located in Alaska, but it was about horses and Jesus. I was the only Native girl there and was severely lost. One of the men said, "Jesus is coming back again." And I believed!! So, this is a thankful, grateful, shout out to all the men who serve the Lord, who don't give up on lost little children, God bless you!!
Praise the Lord. Any chance you burned your name or initials in the wall in the Ranch Hotel? Would love to make a connection with that for you. We have been around Victory here since 2002, but still have connections with the Ranch leaders from the beginning. What year range would you have been here?
@@makingitinalaska It was so long ago. I think it was maybe 1970-ish? Looking back at the face of the man in my memory, he was a very young man with blonde hair and blue eyes. Altho, at the time, I thought he was old!! I never wrote or burned my name on anything, nor remember anyone doing that. My horse's name was LightFoot. Not really mine, but I fell in love with that horse!!! He was black and spirited, and dancy-prancy, and I loved him so much❤
@@shiammi907 That is great. Would have been the early days of Ranch camp, and likely the hotel didnt exist yet. Campers for decades have branded their name in the wall of that lodge when they make a salvation decision while at camp. Tim was likely the horse guy. I still see him regularly. I will ask him if he remembers Lightfoot. So great to hear stories of God at work through this ministry. There have been so many stories since as well. Blessings to you.
@@makingitinalaska During the last breakfast at Victory Bible Camp, a red bandana was given to me as an award for being the best all around horseback rider...but it really wasn't me that deserved it. It was Lightfoot with his liveliness that made me look good. Pretty sure all the other horses were more docile. I hope the man named Tim remembers him!! That would thrill me to no end🙏🏽The Good Lord bless all of you!!💖
@@shiammi907 I talked with Tim tonight he never had blond hair, so it must have been one of the other wranglers, but he did remember lightfoot. He said it was a great horse.
Thanks for watching. We are under snow here unfortunately. I have a new video coming out Saturday that I’m sure you will enjoy. It was filmed over a month ago while we were in the middle of beautiful fall colors.
Hi from Australia 🇦🇺 God bless you🙏your doing things slowly which is great. And eventually you’ll achieve what you want. And I’m a believer too in God almighty amen too that.😊
So you are the one… he said there was someone from his church that made that comment… if it was an outlet you would have been right for sure… taking out that old box actually took me about 30 minutes because I did not have the right tools.
It is a flexible door and window tape made to water seal. It’s tar based. Tape it in a way that water will always shed down, and no tape on the bottom in case any water got in before it it would be able to drain out. Trim and siding then will go over all of this hopefully this winter.
I assume you are referring to the jigsaw usage... Thanks for the concern. Sometimes you have to live your life on the edge, and use the tool you have when in the wilderness.
Perfect. Then I can put him on my wall… we do have quite a few bear in the area, but they don’t like people and are rarely drawn to people food like they are in populated areas. That is the reason for the plywood we use to shutter the doors and windows. But after a couple of years of owning this cabin nothing has tried to break in.
@@makingitinalaska Great vid, just wanted to mention batteries perform better at human comfortable temps. You'll get better charging results if you can put the battery inside and insulate it
Lead acid off gasses when charging. Very unsafe indoors. Switching to lithium this winter. Will be insulated and stored indoors when it’s safe to do so.
I will never hide who I am. I have many faults, but I strive to be more like Christ all the time. It is a continual process. My conviction to share what Christ has done in me is why I put my videos in a public light. It can not be about the subscriber count. Thanks for watching.
OK your freshly delivered butter got me to subscribe! That says a lot about you and your friends. The cabin is looking really sweet.
I am surrounded by some amazing people. Thanks for the sub. Hope you enjoy some of the rest of our content. More to come this winter.
The butter airdrop was hilarious
Just the Alaskan way. Butter is tricky, but I’ve heard of root beer float drops… that would be amazing.

you can get the disposables as full you jsut have to purge. regardless the most efficient way is to buy the hose adapter and run a bigger tank.
For the convenience and ease I have found these to be worth it for sure.
Enjoyed coming along with you through the lens of the camera. The cabin is sure looking nice.
It’s coming along… just tinkering here and there. I don’t want to go to the cabin and work too hard.
The butter drop was so funny.
Just because he can’t land doesn’t mean he can’t help out. Thanks for watching.
Finally! Waited all summer for this video
I was too busy having fun.
I've been thinking about you. So glad that you got some alone time and some time to spend with your family. Enjoy your sabbatical.

Yay to moving the switch! I told Matt you would never do it 😂. Hope to one day meet you. Blessings

I love to see the nature❤❤❤❤
Absolutely beautiful area for sure.
The Alaskan DoorDash LMAO
Yeah standard door dash doesn’t work out here…
what was the tape you used around the door and windows????

You make me a nervous wreck with your unsafe use of power tools.

Not subscribing because of the bible thumping.
