I have the Famicom version. The keys are great. It's like the 1980's IBM Model M keyboards all over again. Best keyboard I have ever had. It also has a striking resemblance to the original Famicom keyboard that was used for basic programing.
I pre-ordered the Famicon version and it arrived the other day but i'm not sure about keeping it or return it. Not because i don't like it. It is a Money issue and i already have a ducky one 2 tkl. I'm really undecided about what to do. (is it at least backlit though?)
I love the NES color scheme, it's nostalgia overload, fits in great with their other products! And I love the color scheme of the keyboard you have on your desk it's also very retro, which one is it if you don't mind?
Is pronounced kale like the vegetable. But those are loud and would just get irritating after a while. Wish they had gateron browns. I don’t like to mess with internals.
3:12 ?? No? It works on iOS (and I would assume iPadOS) and Macos, but, like any Windows keyboard on a Mac, you have to keep in mind that keybinds are changed. you need to use the windows key rather than the ctrl key for shortcuts like copying and pasting.
It's a standard HID device in all 3 modes (off is actually USB mode). As such, it works just fine on mac OS, even the volume knob. I'm typing this on my M1 mac right now! They probably don't advertise support only because macos has a different keyboard layout, and this keyboard is set up for Windows PCs. This is easy to mitigate in macos, and most macos users who might buy a keyboard like this, are going to understand the issue just fine.
I think it's the multiplayer one where the back story is parents that are on the edge of divorce become their daughter's (who's suffering from that) dolls and have to play games and solve puzzle together to get to the end (it's a pretty Fun and well made one). Should be called "it takes two"
Mechanical keyboards hurt my fingers to type on, having broken my digits about a dozen times over the years goalkeeping. If I hadn't though, I would be all over this keyboard -- it is one of the prettiest pieces of electronics I have seen in years. Also I'm sure you knew this, but tilting your keyboard up towards the back is actually the opposite direction you want for good ergonomics. It will definitely murder your wrists if you type all day like I do. Can I ask what happens on mac? I assume it at least functions like a normal keyboard, since it's a standard USB accessory, but maybe doesn't allow remapping? Does volume control work?
What mech keyboards did you try? In my experience they are easier on the fingers than scissor switches or rubber domes unless you are using light linears since they are very easy to bottom out. Tactile and clicky switches in theory should allow to type without bottoming out making typing less stressful on the fingers.
@@det.bullock4461 quite a few of them, even the low profile low resistance ones. the Logitech MX keys is probably my favorite keyboard when it comes to extremely light feedback with low to moderate travel.
@@det.bullock4461 @CubeApril Adding to that, using silicon O-rings under the keycaps, or using silent switches can also pleasantly smoothe the bottom out to protect the fingers. Have to be careful with silent tactiles in particular, because you might end up making a type feel that's almost like a cushioned out membrane keyboard.... which might throw you into an existential crisis on why you even wanted to get into mechanical keyboards in the first place just to return to membrane typefeel (don't ask me how I know 😅). On the other hand O-ring cushioned keycaps or silent linears might be the way forward for you and your fingers. If you go further with the all-out custom build overkill, you could even find a flexy gasket mounted keyboard with flexi cutouts on the PCB.
Love the video! I was wondering if you could help me out to find a controller with hall effect sticks with a playstation layout, I want something in the range of $40-50. Thanks!
What chair are you using? I am looking to buy one but its very hard to choose. Asus the rbg one, razer iskur, and secretlab titan evo xl😅. I want a chair that does not squeek every time i move and i want it to have good pading.
I’ve been using the anda seat for about eight months now and it is fantastic, there is a link and coupon code in the description of every video, there’s also two other chair companies down there who’s chairs I’ve tested and really like. The other chair in the room is a dxracer air which is a mesh net design
If you play any emulators on your PC those buttons are handy for quick save and quick load.
They just need to make an nes style pc case
I guess that with 3d printing could be feasible. That is a neat idea since i cannot spend money to buy an actual NES

Couldn't agree more! Its this one

Yeah I like Gaterons quite a bit
The keyboard looks great, can't wait to see what kind of build you'll do in a future video.
Thanks Mark, it will probably be pretty straightforward. Swap the switches and do some sound dampening, like foam strips.
Look into reviewing nuphy keyboards too. The Air 75 (newest version) would be a good start!
Yes sir

Im interested in the c64 version. I only wished the keyboard had a 60 percent version.
Anyone swap out default switches to Kailh speed thick gold (clicky) switches and would recommend it?
I wonder.. Could you plug earphones into the keyboard? It has 4 jacks, so I con't see why you couldn't
Ciao fratello... Quando rilascerai il video del miglior pad PS5? Il confronto tra i vari pad di PS5... scopo... Castoro da battaglia ecc?
Hey Tony, I know I’ve been saying soon for a while now lol. My goal is a couple weeks
@@GamerHeavenOfficial thx bro
@@GamerHeavenOfficialwait, are you italian?
Good grief. No use for the big buttons? Really?

Same I’m using on my Mac m1 and it’s been a solid board. Just not sure what macros to program 😂
use those buttons for music or video production obviously
You could use the giant buttons when you play nes games, might be awkward but might work well, if you don't have a gamepad of course
True
I knew you would scoop this up. The only reason I didn’t was the fact no backlit keys. I like the option to turn lights on and off when in low light.
Yeah that does suck, I should have mentioned that during the cons section
what game were you playing in the background?

its perfect

Ouch! Yeah I can see how they would be uncomfortable. It didn’t recognize it on my MacBook 💻
