A Great Video thanks so much for taking the time and effort to publish. I just picked up this exact same model at a our local HAM Fest this past weekend. The plan to re-Cap is already in the works. The case is in wonderful shape for its age. This should be a wonderful radio when we (step dad and I) are through with the project. Thanks Again!
I was given one of these with no damage or missing parts and it's untouched. It was working they say. I don't like working on this type of assembly but I got to do it. I have a National shortwave I have to do too. I'm just spoiled from working on printed circuit boards.
Frank's place my hobbies are painting pictures 🖼 and listening to shortwave and ssb I have 5 shortwave receivers iam thinking about getting my ham license 🎉🎉
You could try ebay. There you will find everything from pulls from old equipment to new old stock Russian ones. If you want to spend money you can buy new ones but they're prohibitively expensive.
If you have a schematic of the radio, you will notice that one side of the signal path from the output of the audio transformer goes through the headphone jack. Over time these contacts have become oxidized and will no longer allow the signal to go to the speaker. When you said that you had sound coming out of the speaker, that was the clincher, I had the same problem. Get a can of contact cleaner and spray the contacts of the headphone jack and re-solder the connections to the jack, as they can become corroded also. If you have a set of headphones with that size of jack, work the jack by plugging in the headphones in and out many times once you've sprayed it with de-oxit or another contact cleaner, that will help clean the contacts. If that doesn't fix the problem, just bypass the headphone jack altogether as you will probably never use headphones. Hope these suggestions help.

I got to hook a digital frequency meter to the RF generator it is an old Heathkit tube RF generator but it still works great.
Good luck.

Wish I could send you my g500. It turns on and I only have noise from the speaker when I fiddle with the headphones jack.
