I have a hunch that GW being English, really over estimates the effectiveness of bows. Other than the 100 years war massed missile fire was never really decisive. But GW in all their games makes it overly effective and then has to bring in rules to limit it.
You need to regulate your volume output. This is far too quiet.
Good game design would/should eliminate all possibility of 'unfun' armies or games to play, something GW is not known for unfortunately.
