  • I got a smoking deal on an E36 M3 rear end (trailing arms, axles, subframe, etc) and it will be a huge upgrade for my E36 track car project. Part of getting the rear end up to snuff on this build is replacing all of the joints on this E36 trailing arm along with the wheel bearings. All of the work in this video can be performed with the trailing arms on the car but it's easier in my opinion to do the work off the vehicle.
Follow along and I'll show you how to press all of the joints and the wheel bearing out with hand tools. I did use a few special tools in this video and while they are not necessary to making this work it does make the work easier.

Much appreciated! I really wish I could upload videos more frequently but finding the time to sit down and edit is the challenge I have. I've filmed a whole bunch of stuff over the last few months but haven't had any actual time to devote to editing them. Will need to commit myself sooner rather than later to doing it.

    Great vid as always!!
What about the two joints that attach the control arms to the rear subframe? Should they not also be changed as well, seeing as you've changed the joints on the rear trailing arm? I think the rear has 4 joints + the RTAB.

Just subbed your channel bro, thank you for the video this definetly will help me out. I got a 98 328is that needs the whole trail arm removed, and while out to not put all new bushings wouldnt make sense.. The m3 trail arms should be the exact same right or are they different?

I didn't understand why you talk about the tool that you use what an because it's removed from your vehicle why couldn't you just use a press machine and press it in lot quicker been using those tools

It’s not recommended to use a press machine on these bushings
