The Dâmbovicioara gorges have an imposing appearance and are part of a series of at least 20 gorges located in the Dâmbovița river basin.
The Dâmbovicioara gorges offer an impressive landscape, Dâmbovicioara dug into the sedimentary, calcareous, and sandstone rock formations, a real 8 km long canyon, which in some parts of the valley has vertical walls that exceed 200 m in height.
