Le me a dropper after 12th ... I am not preparing for anything but just exloring different fields and trying to find my interest .Recently i feel phd is something that i want to do and be a professor . I'm sure of my goal now :)
Sir, Thanks for the video! I was wondering how much statistics is involved if I want do PHD in organization Behaviour? I am not from scince back ground so, do I need to undergo a course on statistics? I know statistics os involved in Data analysis. Please assist me.
I am pursuing MBA from NIT DGP, and i want to go for phD in IIM/IIT. Please trll me whaf additional i can add to my cv so that i stand out. Also...i am really curious to know, what is the starting salary for an asst professor in iim ?
An institutional comparison is not possible for me to undertake, as I am a professor at IIM Kashipur, and so my views regarding comparisons may be biased. But yes, I can definitely say that both IIM Kashipur and IMT Ghaziabad have some phenomenal faculty members. Best Wishes.
Yes you can do an executive PhD from IIM Lucknow, XLRI and many other colleges along with your job. A full time PhD is the best thing you can do, but doing an executive PhD is better than not doing :-). Best wishes.
you are eligible but do u think u can complete with a fulltime Economic master's from SRCC or St. Xavier. you are also eligible to be an IAS officer but can you be one? in India its not eligibility that matters what matter is capability
Sir I had just one doubt , I gave FPM interview in IIM rohtak. I was a fresher than. In interview they straight away asked advanced questions on statistics and probability which I was not able to answer. And after these questions no further questions were asked and I was told to go. So I don't they just ask the why question but also some tough questions
hello , i will answer this question as IIMK PHD student. A department hires only 1-2 phds every year. Let say the Marketing dept - they will put all their energy and money into 2 guys so he must be special. Since u said u are a fresher u don't know about any management function let alone marketing, So why do u think he would hire you. Least they want to see you possess advanced skills in Stat/prob to compensate for a lack of business knowledge. u must compensate for lack of experience with scholastic knowledge. If you have none then don't apply to IIMs. Hope it helps.
Every panel is different, every interview is different. But having some idea about basic statistic techniques is extremely helpful. It also clarifies to oneself whether one has an acumen towards statistics, which is an essential pre-requisite for most quantitative research problems. Best Wishes.
Thanks a lot sir 🙏❤ I’ve almost 14 years of work experience after MBA. Currently having government job in a PSU. Can I join this program? It has been my dream. Please guide me.
Well well, I think one must pursue his or her dreams. But take a more calculated decision rather than on pure emotions. It's never easy to take big decisions. Can't you get a sabbatical? Best wishes.
Dear Sujay - Yes, certainly! I don't think 41 is too late. If you finish your PhD by 46, even then you will have 20 years of academic career ahead of you, if not more. Many people start their PhDs from IIMs in their 40s. If you do not want to do full time, there are options of part time and Executive PhDs also. Thanks and Best Wishes.
@@prof.safalbatra5218 I am an MBA dropout from a tier 1 institute, currently pursuing MSc in Economics. One of the many reasons why I dropped out was extremely toxic junior-senior interactions in the name of the aforementioned quotation in the initial months. Does that thing happen in PhDs as well or only limited to MBA?
Safal Batra sir this conversation was very helpful . I am a Public sector undertaking employee and I want to pursue PHD from IIM or Central university . My hurdle is my full time semi government job . I have heard about part time Phd . please guide me about part time Phd details . Love from this side sir . . . .. .
Thanks Amritanshu. Yes you can consider an executive MBA if you do not want to do a full time PhD. IIM Lucknow has that program. XLRI also has that. Please check their websites regarding the details of the program.
This will prove to be very useful for the wannabe PhDs! Kudos.
Thank you so much Sir 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Sir Is there anything like failing in PhD?
just wanted to know if there is "preparing you for corporate culture" by seniors in phd as well!? I actually do not like that!
Not sure what they said, what is the timestamp? May be they are talking about preparing for academic culture?

IIM Jammu offers phd for working professionals ...you can consider that
The stipend paid to you is "peanuts" for the 4-5 years you spend. Anyway, your wish.
