    How do you keep your tool from scratching the wire as you're adjusting it, that's the problem I'm having. I almost feel like I need a rubber tip.

    • @HeatherfishCreations

      Hi Arielle :) I used 12 gauge aluminum wire for this video. You can buy it at any craft store. Michaels and JoAnn's has it in my area.

    I still aint use to white folks with dreads 😂

    • @HeatherfishCreations
      @HeatherfishCreations  6 лет назад +1

      Pollinated Flaws I hear you. :) Google "The Dying Gaul" and read about my celtic ansestory. It's rather interesting. My ansestors were captured and made to fight in the Roman gladiator arenas, before they eventually migrated to the northern British isles from Turkey and formed the celtish clans. It's pretty interesting stuff, and might help a bit in regard to your perception of "white folks with dreads". :)

    • @missshannonsunshine
      @missshannonsunshine 6 лет назад +1

      Heatherfish Creations I mostly think that it’s stigmatized because of the hate that black people got for it and it was then seen as a “ blck“‘thing even though many other races has had some form of dreads in their history. It was just another thing to put them down. It’s good to know your history and the history of others though.

  • @sweettiff1657
    @sweettiff1657 7 лет назад +1

    please stop calling them dreads. they arent a negative thing to have. locs or your crown is more positive

    • @HeatherfishCreations
      @HeatherfishCreations  7 лет назад +8

      tp Thank you kindly for the correction. I will take it into consideration, however, I don't worry too much about pc words. There are too many other problems in the world to worry about.... like cancer. Someday, humanity as a whole will stop picking apart each other and start solving global problems. Language nuances aren't one of them. If we did the history on every common phrase or word we speak in a day, and this includes every language, I guarantee half of them were born in less than positive circumstances. But....that is just my opinion. *braces for hate barrage.

      @@HeatherfishCreations the word dreadlocks came from the English saying locked hair looked dreadful. Locs are beautiful, they are NOT dreadful! I loved the video and the thorough explanation on making loc jewelry!
