Hi mate, really loving this series. This was fantastic coaching! I really like the explanation at the beginning of each video, otherwise how do I know if it is my issue or not. You do you buddy thanks again
Hey Stu great instructions. However did you partake in a little space cabbage before you started filming, 😂🎉 very exciting stuff. Always a pleasure watching your videos 👍🕺
I’ve been struggling to get the right shoulder around and this drill helped massively. I unexpectedly gained around 10 yards on my irons and my 12 year old son gained two club lengths while adding consistent contact.
Brilliant explanation Stu : too often I hang the right shoulder back to attempt to improve my release - garbage move - I hit my best iron shots when I’m all in!
......why is it every time I watch one of your videos I wanna just "conveniently" come down with a little cough so I can leave work and go to the range ? 😁.....thanks Stu, bring on part 3 ! ⛳🍺
Is the backswing similar (mirror image)ie left shoulder move forward as right foot pushes back . This allows the left hand pressured (rubberband)allowing left arm naturally straight?
I would never have been able to come to this analogy had i not been following yr videos for more than a year 😅😅😅now it feels so easy😅😅😅for my shortgame 50-100m
Although im 70 n suffering from knee arthritis im glad im able to digest yr teaching n continue to play decent social golf.enough to get comments from stronger n younger players how i swing effortlessly yet accurate n decent distance🤪🤪🤪
Very good Stuart. I used to have the concept of pushing down with my right hand onto the ball and squeezing it into the ground so it came out with compression like a lemon pip being squeezed and pinged across the room. With my old blades I would always shave bits off the ball as the grooves ground into the back of the ball. Now since taking up the game again I have got confused with all this bent right arm stuff and I rarely crunch my irons these days. Must try this to see if I can recapture the old magic…
so for those who hit that pull when trying this (clubface closing) is it grip, early release, what direction would you point them? great content you're the best...come to the states and do some clinics
I like to imagine I have a little clubface on the front of my right shoulder, my swing thought is to think of hitting the ball with that imaginary clubface, racing my hands/arms to the strike while staying in a consistent/stable spinal tilt.
Can you humour me, as the shank is my bad shot, and explain why? Is it just a matter of exposing the hosel as you come from the inside. Maybe a vid on the shank. Many will be suffering PT syndrome from the driving range shank session
This is a bit misleading imo, club path is a 3d measurement that includes angle of attack, the only reason the resulting club path is positive is because your angle of attack is "down enough" to cancel out your swing direction which is in-deed left or out/in. I think if more people understood that a 'straight' shot is actually really a perfectly executed 'cut' or 'fade' type swing golfers would be better off.
Jim you are absolutely allowed your opinion my friend and love to hear it. I politely disagree but that’s what makes the world go round! Thanks for sharing buddy 👍👍
@@GoodGolfCoaching which do you disagree with? The comment about the resulting path or my opinion on amateurs understanding swing direction? If it is about amateurs understanding swing direction, sure we can disagree about that it's subjective whether or amateurs would get better if they understood. If you are talking about my comment regarding swing direction and it's effect on "club path" that is objective. If you added swing direction up to your TM tiles you would see a swing direction that is "-" or leftward. This is how the d-plane works and/or how the clubhead travels in 3 directions; if you didn't have an AOA of down ~4 in a lot of those shots your club path would be left.
Jim, fully aware of the 3D/D Plane of the golf swing. Trackman only measures the sweet spot, with no reference to the track of the handle. You are getting only half the story, swing direction is worthless. I’m not going to go beyond this comment because i know how this ends. So, enjoy my content, disagree or agree, do as you wish. Either way, love your passion and sharing your thoughts passionately. Best wishes Stu.
That doesn't make sense to me, although I may be misunderstanding how launch monitors work. Club path and angle of attack are obviously 2 measurements of how the club is moving in 3 dimensions, I have always thought of club path as the horizontal movement of the club through space and angle of attack as the vertical movement of the club through the space. I thought the ball flight shape was controlled by the face to path value and path value determines the start direction: so an out to in path should start left of the target line and if the face is open to the path the ball would then curve to the right (for a right handed golfer) - is that not what happens? Either way, I have been coached by Stuart, his teachings worked for me, even if I am a bit slow on the uptake!
@@justinstephenson9360 club path is influenced by 3 things: 1) swing direction 2) angle of attack 3) swing plane. If you want in depth explanations google TrackMan university. A simple example is this: if your swing direction is 0* (at the target) and your attack angle is negative, your “resultant” club path will be + or in/out because if you are hitting down the club head is still going to the right (in/out). So essentially, the combination of swing direction and your AOA highly influences the club path. The effect on club path by AOA is around 1:1 at a driver swing plane and gets less and less as loft increases. With short irons, it’s around 50%. So let’s use driver as it’s 1:1 ratio - if your swing direction is +7* and your hit up 7* your club path will be 0*. Because if the AOA is going up that also means it’s going left hence the up cancel out the right to get you to 0. Just like hitting down cancels out the left to get you to 0 with an iron.
Us Americans don’t know what rubbish is, but we know garbage when we see it. Question I’ve have been pulling the handle upward through the strike with the thinking it causes the club head to descend the same way you speak opposites in path. Is this incorrect and your should your hands be getting lower. Love your good coaching, good passion, and good honor. Thanks.
Stu, You’re one of the most passionate coaches I know, and I can hear it in your voice. Keep educating us with truth backed by science. Cheers.
I really appreciate that buddy; I am all in with helping people and enabling you all to play your best golf. It will be done.
Really enjoying this series Stuart. Looking forward to the rest of it.
Thanks John, have really enjoyed making it!
Really appreciate this instruction! As a guy who gets under the plane swinging in to out, hitting hooks and blocks, I’m eager to work on these moves….
My great pleasure Ron, please please let me know how it goes. Best wishes Stu

Really appreciate that Craig; can’t please everyone and will always just be me. Thanks for the support and encouragement my friend. Hope you’re well.

John, party cabbage is always at close hand in the green room of production 🤣🤣

Jamie, so good to read this my friend. Super happy you and your son found some distance and accuracy. Enjoy chaps!
Brilliant explanation Stu : too often I hang the right shoulder back to attempt to improve my release - garbage move - I hit my best iron shots when I’m all in!
Thanks Ian, really appreciate it and glad you’ve kicked that idea in to touch 😊
Best teaching l ever seen. I seen them all and his philosophies are shown by his teaching and he proves it all other teaching is garbage.
Really appreciate that Michael, hope you’re well my friend.

Haha roll on part 3. Out Friday! 😎

Absolutely Yeo! Spot on my friend.
Eureka🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😂😂😂

Love to hear this Yeo, really do my friend. Happy Christmas my friend and thank you so much for all your support I’m 2024!

Let me know how it goes, would love for you to start getting some compression back!
Do you need a certain minimum swing speed to achieve that kind of compression, thanks
Definitely not my friend.
it makes so much sense, the shoulder should come forward, thanks for confirming it.
I only with the weather here would allow me to get to the range 😂
Get to it Tony, let me know how it goes!
so for those who hit that pull when trying this (clubface closing) is it grip, early release, what direction would you point them? great content you're the best...come to the states and do some clinics
I would wait for part 3, this will help you my friend. As for clinics in the US, that absolutely is the plan long term.
Right shoulder is also powerful move
Amen to that!
Beginning to think you are a golf swing genuis sir!! 👏 If it's not Cartwright, it's Cartwrong! 😂
Hahah thank you my friend. 😊

This a really neat way of giving you the picture needed to mobilise the right shoulder. Nicely done my friend.
Can you humour me, as the shank is my bad shot, and explain why? Is it just a matter of exposing the hosel as you come from the inside.
Maybe a vid on the shank. Many will be suffering PT syndrome from the driving range shank session
Hey Charlie. Ive done a few videos on the shank, take a look back over my content and you’ll be enlightened 😊

Light bulb beginning to blink...
Live to hear this my friend!
Stop saying garbage, it’s rubbish.
Haha good to know. 😂
I love the way he says gahbage, I say keep on!
Haha I will be 😎
