I had the great pleasure of meeting and hanging with Leslie in 2004 through his association with Dean Guitars. He was a great guy...funny as hell and said exactly what he thought. He did not hold back. I discovered Mountain when I was 14. Fast forward to 2004 and I am driving Leslie around Austin, Texas, to buy cigarettes. Who would have ever guessed?

Don't worry Leslie never lost to Clapton, I saw Leslie twice in the 80's at the Golden bear in Huntington Beach ca, the second time only Leslie was there with 3 guitars and a cello and 30 people there, I was actually sitting in a chair close enough to touch him as his talked about writing the songs and the playing them.
