- Props to this dedicated UPS driver. He was out in a snow storm and in our neighborhood around 9pm doing his thing, but the snow packed and iced over hills were not letting him out. I felt compelled to ask my wife to grab the camera and "Watch this!". It was rough at the start, but it finally caught some traction and I floored it all the way up. I’ve never pulled/towed something that heavy before; and was very impressed that the 20-year-old 4Runner had that capability still. For those that are curious: I was in 4-low with the rear diff locked. It’s a 1996 Toyota 4Runner with 223,000 miles and dedicated winter tires (Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V2)
A perfect Toyota commercial maybe? 4Runner love!!!
4 runners and rear diff lock are great, but it's the tires that are the difference. Blizzak DM-V2's are the best in snow and on ice.
I love those Blizzaks they are awesome even on 2WD trucks
Just did this today in a foot deep of snow lol. Wasn't on a hill, but he was buried, and I was proud of it considering it's a '96 and has 362k on it.
You get the satisfaction and he gets to safety, it's a win win for sure.
Got damn def one of the best vehicles ever made glad to own one of these
metoo.
especialy a 3rd gen engine 5VZ - that one and i think they should be using an updated version of that beast
A beautiful piece of Japanese engineering!
Good job, Sir!
Diff lock is definitely a great thing to have.
Yeeees it is 4runner Toyota is Toyota!!
that is so cool this should be on the news lol i have a 2000 limited with the rear diff lock 4wd
RUNNER has the Beans ....the USP Driver was lucky a Jeep was not attempting this ....
I think that you should watch Matt’s off-road recovery. You’ll probably never bad mouth another jeep again.
All the jeeps in the hood were stuck in their driveways.
@@ThePrezObozo you do realize that ALL off-road purpose built vehicles are modified right? Upgraded axles, suspension etc. and that goes for all communities, 4runners, jeeps, Broncos etc.
@@prestondunn1991 i bet that jeep isn't stock bud! If that guy would own a 4runner it would be mod as well.
@@marcosarg1 no it’s not, that’s the point that I’m making. Neither is the 4Runner, hell neither is mine lol
Watch the 4runner look ✌
Awesome 🇺🇸 👌
Nice
had my earphones on shittt
I thought you said foreigner.....watch our foreigner pull the truck up the hill.
I once (2012) saw a Dodge Ram pull a Pepsi truck out of an icy ditch in Mooresville, North Carolina
12 inch ditch
It’s a truck not suv!
Actually, it was thanks to the 4runner that the term "SUV" was invented, no other car, just the 4runner.
I've seen jeeps doing this too
4 runner sounds like your saying forrner
I don't know why UPS makes its employees work in weather like that.
the boxes still need to be delivered
Should of been a tow truck u were pulling out. Lol
When you wanna be a jeep so bad
jeeps are not all the reliable.
when the jeeps wants the reliable of this gens of 4runners, maybe you have one Jeep and have your bucket empty of money 💰
No way. Toyotas are way too under powered. Lol!
Under rated tow specs
