I remember one Sunday night in February 1974 when it a schools night out, to Davenport Theatre in Stockport, & we was in the front row, & was the first & only time when Lyn Paul, came on stage, & sung a solo version their final number one song, called You Won't Find Another Fool Like Me, & the way she sung the song was so brilliant on how she belted out the song, it was so good to hear a solo version of the song by Lyn Paul from The New Seekers, & what I've told you is true, the way she'd preformed that song it was so good. she gave it 100%, & I mean 100%.
She wanted to protect his reputation. But it's no secret that Peter had a phase where he took too much cocain. That's why he had to leave the band. He even wrote a song about his troubles on his SKIN DEEP album. They were under immense pressure 72/73 and he really wanted to do other music. I don't think it's a shame to do drugs. And he was 23 then. Luckily he managed to live a better life later back in Australia.
Lyn paul and peter doyle why did they break up they were great together boyfriend and girlfriend then peter left and then she was dating peter oliver then they break up i love lyn but what hsppened twice come on
Peter had a drug problem back then, which he even mentioned later in a line of one of his compositions on his SKIN DEEP album. He was very young and had an overwhelming success with so much pressure, and as many others, he went down that road for a while. That's why they split and he had to leave the band. But it was for his best, because then he could play the music he liked. A lot of the New Seekers songs were too commercial in his opinion.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR BEAUTIFUL ART ❤❤❤!!!

A hint of Abba-eque choreography at around 1:30, two years before we'd even heard of Abba.

Two useless folk guitars on stage, but sounds like drums, keyboard and trumpet together 😀
Das ist im TV Studio meist so üblich, der Track kommt vom Band
