- This is a review of the Victor Auraspeed HS Plus badminton racket. The HS Plus stands for Hypersonic Plus, which aims to maximise speed from this badminton racket and is used by Hendra Setiawan and HS Prannoy at launch. However, the Auraspeed (ARS) HS Plus does have a compact head or racket frame which is coupled with a stiff shaft, is this still a good combo for modern badminton rackets?

In Vietnam, we have a version with original wrap like wooden handle. I use Yonex 102ex wrap over the original wrap and the feeling is just perfect (after 3 months using it). This racket is a sweet spot between voltric zf2 and nanoflare 800, i played both of them for 6 7 years. The zf2 too heavy when I have ages and nnf800 too light when I smash from rear court.

Thanks CK Yew! Finally HS Plus comes to Europe?? I imported one HS Plus from Taiwan and have used for months. It’s a quite difficult racket due to the stiffness and heaviness, but more importantly… it’s so much fun to use and looks so cool! I love it

Can you please suggest which will be better. Yonex Astrox 88 play (3rd Gen) or Arcsaber 11 play. Want a racquet for both Doubles and singles. Both Attack and Defence. Basically a allround racquet.
Or any racquet would you suggest from Yonex other than these 2??
Adding Astrox 88 play to this comparison because Astrox is singles focused series but there 88d and 88s are doubles focused. And 88 play might be blend of both 88s and 88d. So might be suitable for both Doubles and singles and both Attack and Defence.
Please suggest which one to take for a allround game play in singles and doubles both.

Hah 7:04 your 2 string crossed and are sitting on top of each other, my local legendary stringer said that's not text book perfect anw, great video, HS Plus is way too stiff for me and I'm currently playing with the TKF
It wasn’t me who strung the racket 😬 but in all honesty, crossed strings doesn’t affect performance imo 👌

Surprised to hear differences on the swing measurement from you. As for mine, the 4U ARS HS Plus is about 82kgm2 (empty frame) which is comparable to the Yonex NF800 Pro.

I've become a fan of compact frame, even balance racket for the past 2-3 years, the swing feels exceptional and going back to standard frame is quite unpleasant, possible but needs time

Hi CK may I have your advice, how do players travel with their rackets in flights? Do they check it in inside a larger luggage bag or carry them as hand luggage or check in as fragile items?
It’s both. I’ve seen players bring them up on to the plane with a cloth bag with a few rackets inside and others just pack them into suitcases which are checked in.

I tried this and 90K Metallic. Man, there were really stiff. 100zz also can't beat them

This hs plus is a real monster. The most stiff racket i ever play (zf2, astrox 100zz). Even the zf2 is easier to play than this hs plus
No 100zz is best stiff ever ,I played hs plus , I felt that it same with yonex 800 pro about 90% even hs plus not equal 1000z about stiffness

DriveX Metallic is not a balanced racket. I play with it few months and i feel it should be a head heavy/back court attack racket

How about the stiffness of this racket compares to 88D pro 3rd gen?
88D Pro 3rd Gen is less stiffer than HS Plus. If you grade stiffness by a scale of 1-10, 88D Pro 3rd Gen is like 6.5, while 100zz is about a 8.5. HS Plus was a 10.... but still loses out to 90K Metallic, which is an 11.

Victor should reduce the use of Free core in their high end rackets. The cone is easily to loose
for me, the cone doesn't come loose at all maybe the racket is defective or something
but i still prefer wooden handles because free core makes the racket feel soft and dull
I own freecore rackets from the beginning... Still doesn't break...
@@han00709 I agreed. It feels like you gripping hollow and feel not solid just like wooden handles. Yonex and Lining never do that I believe that is because of that feeling. LZJ even asked customize wooden handle for his signature racket.

thruster boxer has 5u but probably not purchasable anywhere, the ryuga 1 has a 5u version. They plan to release ryuga muse which is 5u too.

Its the freecore that ruined the racket, it is such a nice solid stiff and fast racket but the freecore dampens the power and stiffness creating a very conflicting feel when playing!
I’m normally all for Free Core because it makes rackets easier to play but im not too sure it worked well for this one 😬
