Most cities put in the infrastructure then build. Nashville does it backwards where they expand the airport, add additional housing or retail and then realize its gridlock getting in and out.

    Game-changing growth!

Unfortunately, not in a good way. More traffic and the same terrible roads around the airport. And a cell phone waiting area miles away.

Someone should post the real info about what it’s like getting to the airport and navigating around it. I challenge you to find any other major airport in America that’s worse. Btw, have you been to the cell phone waiting area?

Great video although it would be nice to have more b-roll so it’s easier to follow along with what you are talking about

Brad, multiple airport road “improvement” projects have been undertaken during the last 15 years, but the roads and traffic around the airport are as bad if not worse than ever.
Have you visited other major airports like Tampa? Wide, straight multi-lane roads in and out. Rental car buildings off site with a fast tram connection. Good signage with plenty of warning time. Inside, open airy areas rather than the pod approach Nashville took.
Have you been to the current cell phone waiting area at night? It’s spooky, isolated, and dangerous. There are few cars there, because most people are circling the airport while waiting.

Slow down Brad! It will be decades before Nashville needs a second airport. The southern, pandemic, growth euphoria is bit out of control for you folks :)

That's probably true. But as they say, life comes at you fast!

Look at all the undeveloped land around the airport, your call for a second airport will likely be a second or third expansion. Good bye Monells. You're toast on airport property.

If we get a new airport, I hope they choose a different architectural company and completely rethink the roads around it. The roads to and around the airport are a disaster.

@@softwarephil1709 Yes that is definitely true. The reality was they never planned for the growth we saw because there was no way to see Nashville going from this small to mid sized city to a city everyone wants to visit. Thank you for your comments, please stay tuned for more videos and subscribe if you can!

Most large airports with long concourses like BNA have moving sidewalks. Nashville expanded and added long concourses, but there are NO moving sidewalks in the airport. Bad oversight.

BNA airport is easily the most difficult airport in America to drive to and around. There’s nothing good about it. I live in Nashville. Have you been to the cell phone waiting area at night?

@@ValorMediaTN I live Nashville. I’ve dropped off people, picked up people, and parked there a hundred times. I know exactly what it’s like. I’ve also rented cars and driven around many other major airports. BNA is absolutely the worst. I challenge you to find a major American airport with worse roads and signage. Have you been to Tampa airport? Wide, straight roads leading in. Good signage. Short fast tram from airport to remote rental car parking building.

Roads around BNA are absolutely the worst of any major airport in America. Parking is a mess, and the cell phone waiting area is in an isolated and dangerous area miles from the airport. The roads have been terrible for decades, and they haven’t improved. Signage around the airport is confusing, and signs tell you to change lanes just before splits. Passenger drop off and pickup areas are crowded, and there are families with children dragging luggage across these busy areas. I live in Nashville, and I’m embarrassed by our airport.

Lol, it a cluster F. I live in Donelson since 2013. 3 miles from the airport. I have a friend who lives in clarksville, I said any time you fly, park your car here, $20 uber to airport. She has 3 times in the last 2 months. Saved my friend $ 800 in parking fees. I've lived here since '86 I don't recognize it any more. But with the local Davidson county gov't, so behind, no future vision. Oh could it be they (dems) want to control your movement?

💯 The roads around the airport and the parking are a mess. Have you tried the cell phone waiting area at night? It’s in a spooky isolated area miles from the airport.
